Searching for Anna

An article from March 2025.

Utterly heartbreaking.

Has this UID been excluded? I know the gender is off, but we have seen where gender might be incorrect before.

It would not be a stretch fro someone to abduct her from Half Moon Bay and take her to Mill Valley. I can't find much on this UID when I google. Maybe there is already a thread?

The UID was found with a ladybug stick pin. I wonder in Anna’s mom was ever asked if Anna owned such a pin?
More than the gender being off, the hair being so different is what makes me think it couldn’t be a match.
But, still, I am intrigued.

If some one did abduct her, the stick pin could be from that person and unknown to family.

Gender being off could just be gender being off. We have seen many older cases where genders were incorrect.

Hair color can be subjective and changes can occur after death as well.

I looked into this UID several years ago. I think I gave up on it ultimately because of the gender. I do not recall if the gender was based on DNA or a physical exam. If not a DNA-based determination, this should definitely be looked at again, (Recall that the skull that was found in the ocean not far from where Purissima Creek terminated was for years originally thought to be a girl but when had it tested against Anna, it turns out it was a boy.) I believe I discussed the ladybug pin with Annasmom but it didn't ring any bells.

Thank you for the update. I do wonder if they did DNA testing later on the remains to determine gender. I just figured they determined this was a male in the 1970s. As we know Kerry Graham and Francine Trimble were reported as male and female. With Kerry being thought to be male. DNA later determined this not to be the case. I would hope, if they still had these remains, it was determined to actually be male.

The pin could be a red herring in identifying the UID. If abducted, it could have been used to lure the child, keep the child busy, or to keep quiet. The striped shirt was surprising to me, especially since blue stripes v green stripes could be more from exposure and fading...
