Season 2 Episode 5

That's kind of the direction my thinking goes - if the blood was in some kind of container there may have been some dried blood on it that became dislodged.

How would this work, though?

Blood is tenacious. Blood is viscous. It is a connective tissue. Have you ever cleaned dried blood off a surface? It doesn't flake off that easily. And car interiors tend to be slightly "bumpy" not slick or smooth, like a mirror. The proteins in blood render it adhesive. And it often stains the surface it adheres to.

The sink scenario is ridiculous. How would someone in authority know that SA had bled into the sink? I thought KZ was taking it to test it had blood on it, not use it in another of her 'experiments'. It's just for theatrics.

They wouldn't have had to know. It may have been a happy accident for them. Assuming the person framing Avery had access to the property, either by way of living at Barb's (next door) or knew someone who was living there, they might have entered Avery's trailer (knowing he was out) and been looking for anything to use to frame him, and they hit the motherlode-blood in the sink!

Interesting article

Scientists in Israel have demonstrated that it is possible to fabricate DNA evidence, undermining the credibility of what has been considered the gold standard of proof in criminal cases.

The scientists fabricated blood and saliva samples containing DNA from a person other than the donor of the blood and saliva. They also showed that if they had access to a DNA profile in a database, they could construct a sample of DNA to match that profile without obtaining any tissue from that person.
“You can just engineer a crime scene,” said Dan Frumkin, lead author of the paper, which has been published online by the journal Forensic Science International: Genetics. “Any biology undergraduate could perform this.”

BBM, I don't think KZ is purporting someone in authority knew that SA bled into the sink of his bathroom and on the floor.
We know from the case that Bobby Dassey knew though.
I think in that case it's more of a collusion by the perp./s that wanted to pin it on SA and take the focus off of that person or persons who set that up.

I think one can't be sort-of pregnant in regard to the framing of Steven Avery. But I also don't think that everything that was done, was planned. There was probably some dumb-luck involved.

Perhaps but i'm not so sure. If we take a good look at some of the players in this case, for example, how RH inserted himself into things after Teresa was alerted to be missing. He was in charge of the search, he according to KZ made around 22 phone calls to LE, and how he had free access to a supposed crime scene and gave a false name, he had Teresa's day planner in his possession before her vehicle was found, and lied on the stand at trial, etc. Who was working and colluding with who is what the question is IMO.
