Seeking Help Identifying Overlooked Evidence in Possible Drug-Facilitated Assault (Indiana)

I’m reaching out in the hope that the experienced and thoughtful minds on this forum can help me navigate an incredibly difficult situation.



In May I attended a party in Marion, Indiana. I willingly consumed a single shot of alcohol. Shortly afterward, I experienced a rapid onset of symptoms completely out of proportion to what I ingested—blackout, vomiting, urinating on myself, memory loss, and behavior so uncharacteristic of me that I’ve since been told I appeared as someone else entirely.


There is a video circulating. I have not seen it, but I’ve been told I appear to be engaging in sexual activity. I’ve also been told I’m visibly impaired or nonresponsive in parts. I have a long-term partner of 27 years and have not been intimate with another person during that time. That context matters.



I went immediately for a rape kit. The urine toxicology was done the same night but due to the time sensitivity of certain drugs (like GHB or other benzodiazepines), results may not reflect the reality. I’ve recently had hair samples collected for further toxicology testing, and I’m actively pursuing any and all pathways for answers.



There were many witnesses at the party (67, I was told), but most seem to have viewed the incident as either consensual or a regrettable mistake. Several of them are now circulating defamatory statements, and the video has been shared with others without my consent. I believe this falls into the territory of distribution of non-consensual , or at minimum, retaliatory harassment. The accused has been interviewed. So have the witnesses. Yet it feels like the burden is entirely on me to prove what my body already knows: something was very wrong.



There was a known doctor at this party — someone whose license has since been revoked due to allegations from dozens of women. I am providing this information to investigators, but I fear it’s not being prioritized.



I’m asking for help with:

• Insight on additional testing I can request to detect benzodiazepines or other long-acting sedatives (e.g., Versed/Midazolam).
• Knowledge of similar cases, particularly involving video “evidence” used to obscure impairment or lack of consent.
• Understanding what legal actions can be taken when a private sexual video is circulated without consent.
• Guidance on how to pursue federal attention or elevate this beyond local authorities if necessary.

I don’t want to give up on justice, but I’m up against apathy, disbelief, and active smear campaigns. If you’ve walked this road, or know something that might help—even a detail I may have missed—please reach out or reply here.

Hi there. I too am very sorry to hear this story. I suggest you email a version to the District Attorney's office (or equivalent) in the jurisdiction where this happened.

Make a list of every person whose name you know from that party. Have you interviewed each of the people you know? You could do it be email (often you can find email addresses for a fee on places like PeopleFinder or Whitepages). Somebody knows something.

What are the findings from the rape kit? You've heard about a video, but do you know the name of anyone who has actually seen it?

The man who actually raped me gave me the shot. I was talking about leaving soon and so a celebratory shot was offered. I had plans and was on a schedule. I willingly took one shot. It was probably more like a double.

He cracked open the bottle in front of me but he also, like any gentleman would, offered to get me a glass. He returned from the house with a glass, pink, textured glass. Poured the shot, I drank it in two goes. The first go was awful. I shook my head and made an awful face. Then took the rest back.

Did the authorities ever interview or investigate him? He seems to be the instigator. If you could maybe find a way to raise funds, like on gooooooo___ funnnn___meeeeee----, maybe a private investigator could get his criminal history and track him and find out what he is doing now.

It might be easier to catch him doing his next or more recent assault?

I understand, your anger ,confusion ,lack of faith in people.
I had a drink dosed once and was sexually assaulted and only have pieces of memories about the actual event. I searched and searched for answers, still some of them never came.

Your beautiful and strong I can tell .
Have you contacted a victims advocate ?

If you do report, take a trusted friend with you for support and remember all the hard questions they ask is their job.
Also they have companies that scrub things off the internet , but not sure how that works.

Yes, it is fully under investigation. The doctor did not rape me. He was a guest there. But I felt like I was coming out of anesthesia. This was not alcohol.

Trust yourself.
I remember weird waves...like my eyes were not working right or something.
My tox, I was told was high enough that it could have killed me .I didnt learn that for 5 months or so.
I didnt hear about it until after he was indicted .

I’m pressing for hair follicle testing and not a single law enforcement person or medical professional knows how to get this done.
You would think it would be standard with the time sensitive nature of these drugs.

@Jamaise I recommend contacting that lawyer that has sort of a class action against the doctor, I think they should be able to assist or lead you in the right direction

These’s a second part to the story. So about a week and a half before the party, the host and hostess told my partner they got me an edible in Michigan. I have fibromyalgia and use edibles sometimes at night.
When I picked it up they kept pressing me to eat it all. I said no and took it home.
On Mother’s Day night I decided to eat it. We had a day full of festivities and I knew I would be in pain.
I ate it, ate my leftovers, went downstairs to grab the laundry and by the time I got upstairs I felt hot, dizzy, just weird.
I sat on my toilet in front of the open window for the breeze. Decided to turn on the shower and sit on the edge of the bathtub to cool off. I wanted to stand up and put my whole body in the shower but I couldn’t move.
I wake up to something poking my cheek. I was in the bottom of my tub, shampoo bottles knocked in and I was laying on a bottle. I couldn’t move. I thought “if you fall asleep you’re going to die”. I faded out. Woke up again thinking “ if you fall asleep you’re going to die”. Three of four cycles of this and I asked myself what is happening, pay attention. I thought I was having a heart attack or something. I remembered being told if it’s vascular bear down like you’re trying to have a bm. I beared down and did. The only thing that got me standing was thinking of my partner walking in and seeing me in my own poo.
I stood up, rinsed off, wrapped in a towel and walked into the bedroom where I projectile vomited twice all over the bed.
My partner changed the bedding and I got in and passed fully out.
Next day I went to the ER. Was tested for all sorts of things. Diagnosed with loss of consciousness/food poisoning. I asked the doctor if he had ever lost consciousness with food poisoning. He said no but they didn’t know what it was so that’s what they ruled it. I knew it wasn’t food poisoning.
So… the day after the party, I’m seriously thinking I have a major health problem going on that I can’t even take one shot without vomiting and urinating all over myself.
It wasn’t until I started connecting the dots that I realized the same thing that caused the bathtub night was the same thing they gave me at the party.

I’m trying to figure out what they gave me.

I have. Conflict of interest. I was getting declined by attorneys. Not until one explained to me they are not declining, it’s premature. I don’t even have a case yet. No one has been formally charged yet.

So right now, I’m reaching out to all of them and letting them know I realize it’s premature but that I want to let them all know about some dots that need connecting.

I’m hoping that it shows. Someone in the other party messaged my partner and bet him $1000 nothing would show up in my tox screen. They are very confident.
