8/29/22 Update: Superior Court Judge George H. Gangloff plans to hear the release motion Sept. 12, stating that he needs to consider the issue before the date when Griner would legally have to be freed. He indicated she could be released later in September, based on the current calculation of her time in jail not attributable to delays in the trial caused by the defense. The judge also set Griner’s trial date for 9/12/22 drawing concern from Assistant Prosecutor Elizabeth Parvin. Trial was reset to begin on 9/12/22.

9/6/22 Update: The Court is informed that on 9/2/22, the Clerk of Courts received, via facsimile transmission, a motion entitled "MOTION FOR MEDIA ACCESS" filed on behalf of The Cincinnati Enquirer, Sinclair Broadcasting, WLW-TV, WCPO, WXIX, The Scioto Valley Guardian, Court TV, & Law and Crime TV ("movants"), asking the Court "for an order permitting the recording of the testimony of Jake & Angela Wagner, for an order permitting the audio recording of any witness who opts out of being video recorded & for the placement of a second camera to record the lawyers interrogating witnesses." 7/29/22 Update: Circuit Judge Calvin Holden has found that Ruud is not guilty of 1st degree murder, 2nd degree murder, abuse of a child & tampering with evidence. She was found guilty of only one charge, abandonment of a corpse. It is a class E felony with a maximum sentence of four years. Ruud has already served five years in pretrial custody. It is unclear if she will be given credit for time served. Sentencing is set for 9/15/22, in Greene County.

charged (12/4/19) & arraigned (1/8/20) & re arraigned (4/7/20) with 2 counts of 3rd degree culpable child neglect, 1 count of giving false info to LE during investigation (F3) & 1 count of tampering with evidence (F3). Plead not guilty. $500K bond reduced (11/13/19) to $100K & changed to $1.1M (11/21/19).
*Charged (
amended 3/9/20 additional charges) & arraigned (4/7/20) with willful torture, unlawful caging, tampering with evidence (F3) & 1st degree aggravated child abuse. Plead not guilty. Total bond $1.1M. Bond revoked (3/3/22).
Court documents suggest that Williams tortured, maliciously punished or caged Taylor sometime between the last time the girl was seen alive in April & Nov. 6, 2019 -- when Williams reported her missing.
Bond conditions: GPS or ankle, no alcohol, no contact with witness or co-defendant, no firearms or weapons & no internet.

Defendant waived reading of amended information & plead guilty to amended 2nd degree murder. Acknowledges of rights & voluntariness of entry of plea. PSI ordered. Bond revoked set at none orally per court. On Count 2 & 3: child neglect, Count 4: Giving false info to LE & Count 5: Tampering with evidence - Prosecutors gave notice of Nolle Prosequi (dismissed the charges). 8/16/22 Update: No info on hearing. Next plea & sentence hearing on 8/19/22. 8/19/22 Update: Swann plead guilty. Comply with original conditions of release no contact with JL or AW. No contact with Wilson. No contact with children under the age of 18. Only associate with law abiding citizens. Entered with a Quarterman Agreement: 1) Defendant will not be allowed to withdraw the plea. 2) Defendant must not commit any new law violations resulting in probable cause as read in Affidavit. 3) Defendant must appear on time for sentencing. Sentencing hearing on 9/16/22 @ 9:30am.
*Timothy Lee Wilson II (34 @ time of crime/35/now 36) (stepfather) - Trial began on 5/25/22 & ended 6/2/22. Found guilty. Sentenced on 8/19/22 to life in prison.
