Severed hand, foot discovered at N. Shreveport plant

Officers were called Wednesday morning to Riegel By-Products in the 500 block of Fortson Street after what was believed to be a severed hand and foot was found at the rendering plant.

From an update:
The Caddo Coroner has confirmed that the severed hand and foot found at a rendering plant in North Shreveport are those of a primate and not human.

Ugh. Thank God it wasn't human at least.

All of those plants north of town just reek so it isn't surprising there'd be a nasty surprise in the works. The "Pew"rina plant is the WORST.

I am curious as to how a primate fell into the works, though. Weird. Perhaps he was employed there?
