Found Deceased Shana Alison DiMambro Last Seen 7/19/22- 7 AM in Her Home,100 block Mitchell Street, Spring Branch

What are the options here?

Self-harm, arising from some darkness.

Crime of opportunity.

HDV. Could someone from her past or recent present have harmed her?

Freak accident?

I hope answers are forthcoming. Her parents' heartbreak is ... it's beyond words. So much loss.

It's awfully quiet here, so I just searched to see if there has been confirmation.
This article says there is confirmation. I don't know what they mean when they say "she was found in a weird position". Very sad.

Body of Spring Branch Woman Who Disappeared July 19 Discovered Friday Near the RV Where She Lived - My Canyon Lake
"Comal County Justice of the Peace Judge Walker pronounced DiMambro deceased and ordered an autopsy Friday. DiMambro’s body was transported to Travis County for positive identification."

Why would they not use Bexar County, which is larger & closer to Comal County to ID her?

I've got so many thought running through my mind about how she got into the pond and what role the pond played in her death. These are some of the questions going through my mind.
Was she murdered and thrown in the pond? Was the pond dry at the time she died or was there water in the pond and she drowned. If it was 20 feet deep and dry could she have fallen in, became injured and was unable to get out?
Was this self harm and there was water in the pond and she was unable to swim?

Tattoos on body found in Spring Branch match missing woman Shana DiMambro | kens5.com
"I had been searching earlier that day with Mr. Seeger but he had a service call to go to, so me and the land owner searched the property and we found her remains in the bottom of a dried out ravine," said Herr.

Herr said the body was faced down, decomposed and appeared naked. However, he knew it was DiMambro based off two tattoos located on her neck and back.

Undressed? That sounds more like foul play than self harm. JMO

Where are her clothes?

Bexar Cnty EO is inundated with work backlog stemming from the tractor trailer full of immigrants they are working to identify. They have asked for help from Travis cnty actually to get through them all.

Frequently leave home without my cell phone (did it yesterday and if I didn't have my tickets in my apple wallet and wanted to go a different route and needed GPS I would have went to the amusement park without it) and usually say who cares and go on about my day.... If I forget my cigs I'm going back for them especially now that they are ridiculously expensive.
The reaoning behind not having one's phone is firstly communication. If someone needed to contact the individual due to an emergency that person would be unavailable. So 99% people regardless of age carry their phones with them. Even in a short absence something can happen like an emergency. She was probably known to carry her cellphone with herself everywhere. So IMO it is a valid point if the husband thought so.

Herr said the remains were found on private property in a retention pond.

“You could see a human skull. You could see the deterioration of the bone in the hands and the arms,” Herr said.

Although the body was decomposing, one detail still remained.

“I saw the tattoo on her back and her husband had told me that she had a tattoo of a sunflower on her back,” Herr said.

More details coming out from man who found her...

"She was face down and she was in almost like a crawling position," Herr said. "She had no clothing on and we couldn't tell that she had any shoes on."

Her Redbone Coonhound-German Shepherd-mix, Maisie, was out of her kennel — something he (the husband) noted was unusual.
...
Peña says the last time DiMambro was seen by someone outside her household was on July 14 or 15.

Wouldn't her dog find her if she was out in the open close to home?

How sad. What a terrible ending to this RIP, Shana.

Not clothed, in a crawling position - this seems like foul play to me. MOO.

Could someone in the RV park gotten fascinated with her and simply knocked on her door that morning when her husband was gone, she answered, and they forced their way in/forced her outside? Or got her outside on a ruse? That would explain her dog and all her belongings left behind.

The search also included nonprofit search organizations Texas Equusearch and Project Absentis, whose air drones joined CCSO’s in crisscrossing nearby properties and the eventual discovery site, but turned up nothing.

Was the pond area searched with drones before the discovery? If yes, how come that her remains weren't spotted from the air?

I was pretty set on it being a ‘no foul play’ situation, but now I’m more 50/50 I think. I do think the details about the location/condition/position of her body could still be there in a wandering off/self harm case, but they’re definitely making me question it a bit more.

I think I saw that it was searched, but there is a lot of heavy brush/trees in the surrounding areas (can’t remember the source but you can certainly see on Google earth that this is the case) so the ground is difficult to fully see on drone imaging. Also I would guess it would be possible her body to be covered by brush or other debris and this removed over time by animals.

ETA: I also think the drone searches were done in the first week, unless I’m mid-remembering from the first articles.

So nobody but her husband saw her for four days? She did not walk to the laundry area, didn't go to shop, did not walk her dog or do anything outside the RV?
Hmmmmmm.

I'd think it would.
