On April 3, 2018, Shaun “Sandy” Mullen was last seen leaving the West Parry Sound Health Centre in Parry Sound, Ontario. Police have reason to believe that Shaun accessed a taxi and returned to his Parry Sound residence prior to his disappearance shortly thereafter. Shaun has past tendencies to visit friends or go camping for extended periods of time but there is no indication this is the case.

BEHIND THE CRIMES: Daughter keeps searching after dad's sudden disappearance
''The two-year anniversary of the disappearance of Shaun 'Sandy' Mullen came and went on April 19, 2020, and there is still precious little information available about what happened to the Rosseau-born man.

When last seen on April 19, 2018, Sandy, as he was more commonly known, was leaving the West Parry Sound Health Centre in Parry Sound.

From there, police believe he took a taxi to his apartment and then simply disappeared.''

''All of Mullen’s belongings were left in his apartment, and there has been no activity on his bank card or health card since the time he went missing.

One of the last leads was a possible sighting of Mullen on Highway 141 on April 18, 2018, near the village of Humphrey, some 23 kilometres southeast of Parry Sound, where a man matching his description was seen hitchhiking.''

“He had talked about going out west in the past,” said Mullen. But she concedes his battles with alcohol and attempts at rehab may be what has stopped police from investigating further.''

Just want to point out that male remains were found this year in Huntsville, which is a hour's drive away from Parry Sound. This guy reminded me of Shaun because he was found with those medical sticky tabs (that you use to monitor cardiac activity) nearby, and Shaun was last seen leaving a medical center.
Some things that stop me from emailing it in is this guy was seemingly larger than Shaun because he was wearing larger clothing (36inch waist pants, XXL hoodie) and apparently had some big feet (size 14 shoes) - Shaun was 5'8" and had a slight build. I think if he had size 14 feet it might be mentioned somewhere because that's unusual for his height.
Also, his daughter mentions rehab. Was he at West Parry Sound Health Centre for alcohol rehab or was he there for health issues? Would he have had a cardiac trace done?

Remains of Parry Sound man missing since 2018 found

The remains of a Parry Sound man reported missing more than four years ago have been found.
