Well, it is only rumor, LOL, taken from ANOTHER blog, where-by a 'neighbor' said LE located part of the vcr on the route that would have been Chris to the gym.

Now, that would lead me to believe there is NO tape.

Like I said, I would 'term' this a RUMOR until LE tells us it's a fact. But they were looking along the route to the gym.

Are you kidding me?? A VCR along the route to the "gym" = a slam dunk! Geesh! :bang::crazy::behindbar

Respectfully snipped :)

Also, there is a community camera at the entrance. So the perp either entered via vehicle (which would be caught on camera). This camera should also confirm when CC came home (and perhaps even left).

OR,

Perp snuck thru the bushes (if any) broke in the house, murdered 3 people, took the time to write on the wall -- all while NOT knowing when dear hubby is going to come walking in. Then has to figure out an exit plan with people leaving for work, jogging, making coffee, picking up the morning paper and without a single dog making a sound as the perp leaves the neighborhood. Oh, and he HAS to miss that camera focused on the mailbox. Don't forget - never leave footprints in the grass. Oh, my bad - the neighbor mowed the lawn right in front of LE.

OR,

The perp is right in front of our face!

There are some problems though....

The area is still under construction, there were workers building a new hosue that morning. So, one of them could have done it. Secondly, there is a second road that they finished that goes into the subdivision and is NOT monitored by anyone.

You know, we should start a no discussion thread with all the videos from all the cases where the perp displayed shock awe and grief and later ended up with LWOP or DP.

I'd start it with Susan Smith and Mark Hacking.

I would go back to Diane Downs but there have been so many is there enough room on the server?

At the below link are pictures. 17, 19 are of the camera. You can see it mounted below the front porch ceiling. It is pointed at the driveway and the mailbox. 7, 21, and 26 show the mailbox.

Sorry for the long delay in response to thank you for the link. These are much larger images than I was looking at and I had trouble finding your post to acknowledge the info and thank you for it ... :)

I was not painting an ugly picture but your post did.

Call me naive, but I have never seen such unabashed hubris in all my life.

Imagine Coleman reading all this conjecture.. or his family.

Does anyone ever consider what they write? It's so easy to sling those words out there .. but they can never be taken back.

Your position may very well prove to be true, but have you followed other cases on Websleuths before? Arrogant husbands believing they are smarter than EVERYONE else is nothing new. We've seen it all before. Many, many times. Sadly. This is not "unabashed hubris." It's experience.

Whatever or whomever killed these three beautiful, innocent people - is ugly.

Do you know what time the construction workers started? Now, this is interesting. There was/is a case from Indiana a year or so ago, where a woman and her stepson were murdered, although IIRC it was during the afternoon, and involved a knife or gun, where it was a nice subdivision with construction going on.

AHA! A little glimmer of hope for all the rush to judgment on Coleman.

Thanks for the info, Artie!

Hey .. didn't I see some woods in one of those photos .. those trees look pretty tall .. someone could have entered through there if I'm assuming that one section of the property is bounded by what looks like a wooded area.

In response to this, a rumor was circulatling that someone was trying to "get to" Meyer ... here's a post of interest I copied last night. .. see bolded

have thought it was him all along............ from day one!!!! like you said ruthies2much, why would he have called 911 before calling family, neighbors, or heading home from the GYM himself?? kinda fishy! also when it was mentioned that she took her name off the deed 2 weeks prior to the murder kinda made me think it was him. maybe thre were marital problems and he just couldnt handle it! rumor around columbia that he was a womans body guard and the person trying to get to the woman had left threatening letters at his residence saying he will get him back and went and this was a result of that but why would have have killed the children and not just the wife?? MAYBE BECAUSE THE CHILDREN KNEW WHO THE KILLER WAS............ THEIR OWN FATHER! pretty sad!

http://www.bnd.com/breaking_news/st...&&mi_pluck_action=page_nav#Comments_Container

Hmmm seems even they discount the threats person and think he is guilty to.
Did someone expect to find JM in the Colemans bedroom or house just a thought.

FWIW, the owner of Websleuths and the mods of Websleuths would be the first to tell persons that IF they're family or friend of the victims, it would probably not be a good idea to read at Websleuths of the case they're involved in.

Seriously, this is a public forum. ANYONE can read here. IF it's something that could hurt one's feelings, they're better off turning off the computer and walk away.

I've even had to NOT participate in a particular case study once as the accused ended up being related to someone I'd known for 50 years. I never advertised it on the thread either. I just backed away.

Sure we may be wrong in our discussion. But that's why we're here, to throw ideas back and forth. If we end up being wrong, MOST of us who guessed wrong (because that's what it is, a 'guess' with limited information), would come back and publicly, ie on WEBSLEUTHS, issue our own personal apology. However, if the NOT suspect never saw the discussion in the first place, it's no hit, no foul anyway.

Artie,

Google maps does not have "street view" of the subdivision yet. I looked but no luck! Only a map of streets and the lake is obvious.

Darlie Routier....

Not sure about the server though....

I am a fan but I liked Greta better before she changed ever since her girly crush on Sarah Palin.

I like Greta. Grace's delivery style is a turn-off, at least to me. And I have a little issue with the way she treated the woman who later committed suicide.

I think Nancy thinks a little too much of herself. HA!

Greta's delivery is much more palatable. :)

I was on another board a while ago and had a woman whose daughter and grandson was horribly murdered and she would come on to update us and tell us thank you for keeping the story alive and caring till her family received justice.I have seen it here also relatives asking for help.

Fran, you nailed it in this post. At WS's, we draw on current knowledge overlayed with experience - just as LE does - just as any good analyst of any evidence would do. If I am wrong in suspecting CC, then I would be MORE than happy to send him my sincere condolences. If I were him, I would be HAPPY to accept those condolences if I were innocent - because innocnet people act certain ways. Hmmmm..... still watching this case........

Hi Artie,

Thank you. Don't most construction workers work from 7-3 in housing communities? This makes for an interesting thread, as it would shorten the window for the time of the murders (IMHO). If your theory is correct, then LE would have to investigate all the workers to determine where they were at the time of the murders (once determined). Or, even to find out if they saw anything out of sorts.

I'm bummed to hear there is a second road, as that creates an entirely new scenario.

Best,

I believe they used that term 'vcr,' but I was never clear if it was a portion of the tape, the tape holder, or the vcr machine????

But definitely, RUMORED to be allegedly part of the alleged surveilance equipment from the murder scene.:waitasec:

I guess until we have the words of LE, everything is just speculation and rumor.

You know .. I "vetted" this very thing last night. Can't remember the poster's name on the SLPD board but I went to the thread and search every posting she made .. it was not her that made the claim that part of a DVR (not VCR) was located below the bridge.

It seemed to be another poster .. but it was not the one that was named as having made that statement.

Case in point ... how things get misconstrued.

All this finger-pointing at Coleman is based on .... facts? ... no!

Ah yes my sore spot I was one who saw no problem with her questions of that mom.She asks the hard questions she does not sugar coat them,But yes she can be aggressive at times.Greta was very good but since palin she just doesnt do it for me anymore .If she even has a crime story on she seems ill prepared and gives it a 5 or 10 minute spot.
