First of all, that is hardly the same point. Whites aren't stigmatized as criminals as blacks are. Thanks to the media and the unregulated discretion of our criminal justice system, blacks are grossly overrepresented among prison and jail populations, even though whites commit more crimes. A black person in a 'white neighborhood' would feel the discomfort of either being arrested, or of being seen as a criminal, rather than a white person in a 'black neighborhood' feeling that they'll be mugged and shot at any moment.

Anyway, the point is, that I can think of at least ten different ways you could have written that better (i.e., "I've been in the worst of the worst neighborhoods and still felt safe enough to ask for directions").
Not trying to be the politically correct police, but seriously... :bang:

Point taken - but likely none of this is really relevant to the crime under discussion here. Let's not lose sight of the point....:blowkiss:

I'll take your and everyone else's word on that. I couldn't bring myself to watch. :chicken:

I watched it and am sorry I did. It made both me and Mr Medusa ILL.

The woman at issue attended high school in Largo, Fla., graduating in 1996, one year behind Sheri Weiss, a friend, who later married Coleman. Sheri Coleman was found dead along with their sons, Garett, 11, and Gavin, 9."

Shades of the Michelle Young case. The other woman is a friend of the victim. Sick and sad.

And I'll say this - if he did it (I do believe he did by the way) and the g/f was the motive - would you want to be THAT girl? I sure wouldn't want to have a relationship with someone who could do such a heinous act...

holy cow! motive!

"
LARGO, Fla. — Police are investigating a romantic relationship between a woman in Florida and Christopher Coleman, whose wife and two children were slain last week at their home in Columbia, Ill.

Detectives have acknowledged traveling to Florida last week. They were there to interview a woman described as Coleman's girlfriend, a law enforcement source close to the case said Tuesday.

A second police source confirmed the relationship. They did not say whether they think it played any role in the murders."

A song just popped in my head for CC!

And the walls, come tumbling down, and the walls, come tumbling down.....

Murder because he wanted to be free to be with miss thang? Sheesh, you think he could have been more original. And now, he's not going to even get the chance. Nope, he'll end up being some big, hairy dudes toy. Oh, the irony.

Hey Chris! Ever heard of a D-I-V-O-R-C-E, sure it might take a little longer than murder, but the benefits FAR outweigh the risks. That and the fact that 3 lovely people who trusted you would still be here.

Me neither!!! A certain kind of woman may be able to get beyond the murder of the wife - but the babies??? Jeez.

Really!

From the article "A call Monday to the home of the Florida woman's parents was answered by a woman who declined to comment and said, "Nobody's ever going to want to comment."

If she had no knowledge of what he was going to do, I really do feel for her. Like the fiancee in the Craiglist Killer Case.

This is gonna be tough to splain to his boss. Can he spell perp walk?

Looking forward to more Revelations tomorrow.

I can hear Boss Womans heels clicking and see her sparkles flying as she runs to distance herself from him.

But if she knew he was married with children then I have no sympathy for her.

Below is post 17 of this thread, right after I voiced my suspicion of the husband.

Now we just need to know who the girlfriend is...I kid I kid!

It's like these cases follow the same script though. Like the jogging housewives syndrome.....

And this woman doesn't sound like TL...who's military.

The Florida woman's online profile on Classmates.com says she attended college in Tampa. Public records say she worked in a bar and as a hostess for a gentlemen's club in Tampa.

Classmates.com profile is "no longer available"

True, I meant if she didn't know and if she thought he was single.

I think it is time to call it a night. Well, soon anyway.

I think it IS TL - When I was looking her up today I was able to find the Largo connection (I actually LIVE in Largo!!!!) I posted a link to another site after they took her Myspace down (sure makes that skull emoticon seem more ominous). I'll try to find it.
