She's close to..."home", "hope", "holts"...

I just thought of something else. *Maybe* the fox is KC?

Ya know, I can see where KC would think that she was as "sly as a fox"! Maybe someone should change that picture of a fox to a picture of a rock!

Excellent!

Sounds like Hope to me still. Totally.

Does anyone have an idea what "HOLT" is supposed to mean?:waitasec:

She says she's close to home. I think some people just ran out of stuff to sleuth.

True, but an arial map using the school front as it's main point would have the school in the typically North position. If I want to gauge orientation based on a specific point I can look at the spot and also use the compass to determine true North. Not every map or arial is going to present in a compass format, hence the handy compass that usually accompaies photos taken from above. If she referenced the School as a main point then logic may suggest "if you are standing facing the school" to base directions. JMO

True.

The lower left hand part of a map is the South west corner. All maps are to be oriented North.

My previous post was wrong-If you Google Earth Hidden Oaks, the school's front is oriented to the east, not the south.
However, my assesment of Caylee's location in relation to the school, described as "lower left hand side of town", would hold true on a map, if she were describing where she put Caylee:

Holt \Holt\, n. [AS. holt; akin to LG. holt, D. hout, G. holz.
Icel. holt; cf Gael. & Ir. coill wood, Gr. ? branch, shoot.]

1. A piece of woodland; especially, a woody hill. "Every holt
and heath." --Chaucer.

[1913 Webster]

She sent her voice though all the holt
Before her, and the park.
--Tennyson.

[1913 Webster]

2. A deep hole in a river where there is protection for fish;
also, a cover, a hole, or hiding place. " The fox has gone
to holt."
--C. Kingsley.

ALSO:

Remember that album cover of (I think) Seven Dust? It has a picture of a baby, woods and a fox. I *think* KC listened to the music on that?

Yes! she did listen to Seven Dust. Tracy M talks abt it in her interview w/ LE:

Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - Audio of Tracy M interview Sept 18, 2008 #2

Lyrics are in the following post.

From "Today's News:"

Psychiatrist: Casey Anthony confessed to Caylee’s murder through song (audio)
<snip>

A prominent psychiatrist says a Florida mother accused of murdering her own child confessed to the dastardly deed through the lyrics of her favorite song.

Dr. Andrew Hodges, a Birmingham, Ala. psychiatrist, told the National Enquirer that the lyrics to Casey Anthony’s favorite song “The Past” by the group Sevendust contain her confession to murder.

According to the Enquirer, Dr. Hodges is an “expert at interpreting how criminals reveal themselves subconsciously through what they say and write.”

BBM-And Diary of Days was a pretty wicked one, too-the song, the poem, and the avatar of the little girl looking up at the hanged teddy bear w/ the DP musings....KC is really very transparent with this stuff.

When there was talk about KC apparently using the area to bury pets, I did think that maybe "Holt" or whatever she said was a reference to a family pet that she and Lee had buried - a reference Lee would have picked up on straight away but would mean nothing to anyone overhearing it. However, I think it was demonstrated that the "pet cemetary" wasn't exactly the same area as where Caylee was found.

I still think that KC gave clues of some sort to Lee - I'm not sure exactly how though.

(I think it was actually Kio and Jessica who buried a couple of their pets there and Casey just happened to be with them once, for the burial of Jessica's hamster Sage IIRC, not so much Casey's pet cemetery as the media made it out to be, right? But that said, you never know....)

The "hope/holt" sounds like she was probably just saying "home" but the line was a little staticky or she had a little nasal congestion or something, but I can't dismiss the possibility that she could have slipped and said "holt" by accident or for some reason.

Thanks for the thread. The weirdest part for me about this conversation between her and Lee is poor Lee asking her if there's anything she can tell them to help them find Caylee, to just tell him or the police directly and not wait to go through her attorney, and all she can say is "Nothing I can think of offhand, but I'm going to be meeting with Jose and he's bringing videos of some of the media coverage and if anything comes up I'll be sure and let you know." And her going on about what her "gut" is telling her. That her "days for the past month or so are all thrown in together" (i.e. she can't really remember one day from the other), but right now her gut is telling her Caylee's okay and "that's my best feeling for the moment, but if that changes, I'll let you know." (And poor Lee was just going, "Huh?".) So crazy. And sad. So basically, rather than having any normal memories of the past month for pertinent information, she's like in this hazy cloud where she doesn't know any more than what her "gut" is telling her? I just can't imagine how horrified Lee was hearing it.

BBM-yep, he was asking her if she was willing to talk without JB, and she says yeah, I already talked to JB about us talking to them :banghead:

Also, during their phone call, when he asked about the blackjack, and why she did not lose both phones/SIM cards, she does not answer his question in a way that addressed what he was even talking about.
Towards the end of their jail visit time, LA was frantically trying to get one last piece of info before they disconnected, I think he was getting frushtrated.
Notice that when LA grills KC, she does not explode on him like she did with her parents-She respects LA's boundaries, hmm.

I still think she tells Lee that Caylee is "Close to HOELT" (Hidden Oaks Elem School). It's in the linked video @ 6:15. KC sounds like she told Lee exactly where sweet Caylee was placed. I just had to bump this because the jail vids contain so many things...and with KC's statement, it seems she also gave the location of Caylee's litle tiny body. Am I hearing it wrong? I have re-listened to this for almost 3 years and have heard the same thing each time.

OMG!!! I don't think that is strange.......I think you are on to something here!!
WOW....I cannot believe the names of the people at that section. Did you report this? Send it to OSCO via email att: YURI. I don't think this is just a coincidence!!!

I've heard this way back and have puzzled as to why it hasn't been brought up again. I've often wondered if it were her way of telling her family where to find Caylee or that she had already planned to say, if and when she went to court. I was trying to give you guys clues, but you never followed my clues. OR, it was her way of remembering where she placed her.

We all now know that they had THE CASEY CODE. I wonder if that is what she and LA have done all throughout their childhood or did the entire family work in code? Me thinks there was some paranoia in the entire "A" clan which to me would show signs of a lot of guilt going on in the family. They seemed to trust no one outside of their clan but then they really didn't trust each too much either, but trusted each other more than outsiders. (All for one and one for all.)

I hear it as if she says: "And it still feels like she´s..., she´s close to holt (or hold)"
And Lee "...OK". I don´t know - I have a bad feeling about that OK. The way he says it - I could be wrong, I could very well be wrong.

Holt or hold is what I hear - and have no idea what that means. She doesn´t say home. that is clear.
Good find.

Looking back, Lee knew. He tried to ask nice questions, got no where. Then he asked if the tatoo meant anything. He knew, maybe did not click for him a bit, but he figured it out. He knew his sister. He knew what holt, halt, ever how it sounds, meant.

I think when it clicked for him is when he stopped being in media. He could not tell GA and CA. He had to wait for them to figure it out for themselves. All this long 3 years.

I guess my ears are completely mishearing then cos it sounds like she is close to hope to me.:floorlaugh:

  • #239
I don't think this is any codespeak. It's a bad audio recording. She says "she's close to home." The recording garbles it so it can sound like holp, holt, or hope.

There is a great example in the same recording of how it garbles words. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uF-Ge5hCn9Y"]Listen[/ame] at 5:48. She says "I mean none of that has altered because chibiglipibby abop pap."

Yep,at 5:48 she definitely says "I mean none of that has altered because chibiglipibby abop pap."
