Did she wander away from the long term care home?

Did she wander away from the long term care home?
Reports do not say where SR went missing, but assuming it is from the long care home, imo, speculation.
Noting she previously went missing in 2017.

I hope they can find Ms. Shirley soon.:(

Is it just my unfamiliarity with Canadian cases or is it odd that they set up a command post?

It seems to have been set up quite quickly, probably with good reason, imo, speculation.

I’m thinking that she has dementia. My father had dementia, and lived in a long term care facility that had electronic locks to prevent the residents from wandering. There have been cases of people wandering away from such facilities here in Florida, with tragic results. For some reason they are drawn to bodies of water.
