cj ~ I sure enjoyed ALL your posts today!
Your nephew is as cute as can be, and very talented too. I know you are very proud of him! Does he live close enough to you that you will be able to attend?

The deodorant uses are very interesting! I'll be trying those out for sure. Do you know if they all have to be unscented? I have been staying with my cousin in Doe Valley since July 4th and I have lots of bug bites! I've got one really itchy bite on my chinney chin chin and I'm afraid the scented (which is all I have) will burn like the dickens, since I've already scratched it until it bled. It's starting to scab over, somewhat now, but dayam it still itches like crazy!

YoN ~ I think the little princess looks just like her mama.

Odd title.... 'Trimmer More There'..... Is that linguistically correct?. And where is 'there' ? :giggle:

I'm determined to get away from these blue lights or whatever it is they're called. But one last thing. My dear fur baby has this weird thing he does. He periodically will raise his nose / head up and look all around above him, back and forth, up and around, as though he's looking at something or smelling something, or whatever. And it will go on for a while sometimes, we can't figure out if he's smelling something , hearing something or seeing something. When he does it he whines a little, and appears to be somewhat distraught. It's as though he sees something above him and is upset by it. Kind of like in this photo of this dog here. It really is worrisome to us. This has been going on for several years now, nothing new.

Actually, come to think of it, it started after his Vitamin D toxicity episode from the tainted dog food when he was about 18 months old. I wonder if it could be some sort of residual effect, neurological damage or something. Does anyone here have a dog that displays this type of strange behavior? My son thinks it has to do with him sensing spirits or something like that. IDK

COFFEEJUNKIE SAYS
I had you a big post about my houses' ghost and our animals and I lost it :( Animals do sense 'spirits' and so do babies. TRUE! On my word and many past family members will tell you this is true. He is a good ole soul and funny. He plays silly tricks on us. NOT LYING. Our fur babies go nuts when he's around. He loves babies and we know who he is. The original owner/builder of the home in 1890. He slipped and fell on the icy steps leading off the front porch, hit his head and died.

We all feel he is still watching over his families who had the honor of living here :)
I really mess this post up! lol

As a graphic designer with an interior design background, I work with color every day, and tho I love all colors, on a personal level, pastels are my least favorite. For some reason I find them depressing.

Zuri expressed an interest in tranquil colors, which is why I suggested the colors I did (none of which are pastels, as all have a gray base). Obviously, I like them, too. They are quite soothing.

When I was younger, I painted every room in my house audaciously bold colors. Some people loved them, but after a few years, they got old to me (and who wants to keep repainting stuff?). Now I prefer to have more neutral (yet nuanced) wall colors and let the furnishings and artwork make bold statements here and there throughout a room.

JMO

That's where my head has always been since living under the roof of my dad. Colbalt blue trim inside and out, my brother's had what I can only describe as "Dahla Horse Orange" on their ceiling, some godawful yellow in my sister and my room, a pale blue that I thought was just blah, a burnt red kinda carpet in the breakfast room..........gah.
And tons of paintings, sculptures, Scandinavian stuff, Christmas plates that went around the top of the walls in 2 rooms (and we're talking a few hundred, Bing and Grondahl, Royal Copenhagen, from the time they started making them)
Bleck, my dad was truly a hoarder, but it was called "Inventory for the shop" or "investments in our future".

Kinda have ol' dad randomly drifting through my head, 1st year of his death coming up, kinda surreal.

[h=3]Donald Trump's event moved to downtown Phoenix[/h]
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is moving his Arizona campaign event this weekend to the Phoenix Convention Center.Trump was scheduled to give a speech Saturday at the Arizona Biltmore Resort Spa.

Even the Biltmore has it's limits. Zuri, you've been there, can you imagine Trump holding court there? I think the management firm got a lot of calls and decided Trump was not the kind of person they want to be connected with. It has quite a bit more class and elegance than Trump would be suited for. JMO.
BTW: It's currently owned by a Singapore Investment firm.

CJ,

I hear you about the ghosts. I lost my Dad in Oct./2013. A couple of months after his passing, my doorbells started to ring quite frequently. I have four entrance-ways and my Dad was the only one who would ring the doorbell, everyone else would just walk in and holler out my name. The doorbells still ring to this day. Drives me nuts running to all the doors to see who's there, only to find nobody. :gaah:

In 2008, prior to Dad's passing, I gave him an expensive watch and had engraved on the back "the gift of time". I didn't know he was sick at the time, but had a gut feeling something wasn't right. His partner had just given him a new watch previous to this of which I was unaware of. Dad took that watch off and replaced it with the watch I gave him and wore it with pride. :blushing:

At about the time the doorbells started ringing, all of my clocks and watches would stop - sometimes for weeks, other times for months. I have even taken a couple of them to the local jeweller and he could find nothing wrong with them. As I type this, the clocks are stopped. :pullhair: The only way I can rely on the time is via the tvs, my computers & tablet and Dad's watch that was given to me after his passing. For some reason, that watch has never stopped.

I don't know if 'he' is stopping the clocks to tell me to live in the moment or that my time is up!??? :giggle:

So- my older son brought the Ebook reader (Sony PRS-505) with the books loaded that I asked for. I was looking at the list as I had forgotten what books- about 20 books, but there were 2 books I didn't ask for. I started laughing so hard :hilarious: . My son wanted to know what was so funny. He loaded Shanna Hoagan's book Picture Perfect and Lisa's book Audacity !!!
I told him about the murderer's trial that we all suffered thru for the past 3 years and was so burned out about it, that I really didn't want to read about it too. But- eventually I probably will read them later on- much later :sheesh: I asked why he picked those books and he said it looked like I was interested in true crime and thought the books sounded interesting.

I think I will like the reader. You can blow up your text! No more too-fine print...you can pick one of three sizes of fonts (I picked medium font). It has a black leather cover and I like that the page I left off of is "bookmarked". No light, but I usually read with a light on.

I do like regular books better tho'- the feel of the pages as I read will be missed with the reader, but I will adjust.

He loaded one of my favorite, scariest books- The Wolfen and I'm reading that now on the reader.

All-in-all- nice gift, IMO.

Oh yes cj, my family comes home often. I cant even tell all the things that happen. Never bad things just to let us know they are here. Have you ever seen ball lightning? I did . Tuesday we had a rainstorm two claps of thunder were very loud . The second one was right over the house. I was in the center hall. all of a sudden a white flash appeared a foot and 1/2 in front of me. I said "this is it, I've had it " and it disappeared. It was more square than round had jagged edges and was the purest white!! startled the chit out of me. my poor puppy (in my bedroom ) shook like a leaf! I picked her up, cradled her in my arms and rocked her talking to her low to settle her down. This was something else. Oddly I wasn't afraid..I believe your son is right.:what:

Jasper and CJ - come over to this forum

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?97501-Life-after-death

There are lots of experiences shared by people who you can relate to. Niner and I, and others, love it!

Wow, thanks for that link Daisymae! I never knew that forum existed. I've had other unexplained experiences during my lifetime that I didn't mention in my post. I should start a diary as I've forgotten many of them due to a head injury that has left me with both short and long term memory loss.

Off to check it out!

My cousin and I went Wednesday to the Frazier Museum here in Lou. to see the “Love, Shirley Temple” traveling museum exhibition. It was a wonderful experience! All her little costumes and even her shoes were on display.

There were exhibits of her very own "personal" memorabilia, which included her autograph book, personal letters she received from President Franklin Roosevelt, an accordion that a fan sent her with her name engraved on it, pictures she drew, her own little typewriter, dolls and the slingshot she used to used to shoot Eleanor Roosevelt in the behind with, :giggle: Just all kinds of things.

Wed. was the last day in Lou., and I swear there were people there (MEN and women) from all over the country!
I love Shirley Temple :heartbeat:

Her children have already donated a lot of her things to various places, such as her academy awards.
Here is an article that tells about the 8 city/states that were fortune enough to host her "traveling museum exhibition." The next stop is Missouri, where everything will be auctioned off. :frown:
