In Texas they say' "Friends don't let friends drive Fords." Found On Road Deserted - Fix Or Repair Daily - yeah we're sick down here.

Zuri, I totally understand your tornado remark and am not offended at all. It's been a prayer of mine for a long time. I thought a fire when all of us are out of the house, including all pets, would be nice. Other than photo's of loved one, I'd not miss much, and I'd get to rebuild an eighty five year old house.

Yup! My old Ford Granada was like that- in the Phoenix heat, it was breaking down literally every 30 miles something else would go wrong, it got to be a running joke- first the radiator overheated, then the tires blew out, then the spark plug wires started arcing!

Evening my sidebarian friends. Do you ever feel that time is growing short? Many say the whole world knows something big is about to America. So many are having dreams and vision of America's fall from grace, and her only hope of survival.

2 Chronicles 7: 14 - Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. I don't think many will heed the call. IMO

Hi All :) Took a total time of 15 minutes (that includes numbing me) getting that tooth out of there...no pain at all :) Took more time get there and back than the entire time I was at the dentist. Slept off and on all day and Tylenol took care of what little pain I have and very little bleeding. I'm amazed I feel so good :)

Thanks for the good thought and the prayers :)

Just a note; the dentist was cute as a button and sweet ;) :blushing:

Federal charges including hate crimes for accused shooter

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Five weeks after nine people were slain at a black Charleston church, federal authorities have indicted the suspected shooter on dozens of new charges, including hate crimes, firearms violations and obstructing the practice of religion.
The prosecution, particularly on hate crimes, has been expected since the June 17 shootings at Emanuel African Methodist Church in Charleston. The suspected shooter, 21-year-old Dylann Roof, is white and appeared in photos waving Confederate flags and burning or desecrating U.S. flags..."

The paleontologist who worked on 'Jurassic World' is trying to create a real dinosaur within 5 to 10 years :scared:

"...Yes, this is for real.

No, there isn't dinosaur DNA trapped in amber, waiting to be replicated and cloned.
But that's not the only way to make a dino, said Jack Horner, the paleontologist who worked on "Jurassic World" (and the rest of the "Jurassic Park" films), and he wants to make it happen...

Horner points out that we've been genetically modifying the genes of animals for thousands of years. We've just called it "breeding."

"People made chihuahuas out of wolves, for God's sake," he says.

Most people fundamentally misunderstand what happens if you live to be really, really old

"Ask a group of people who among them wants to live to 100, and many would say they would rather die younger, with their health and their mind still intact....
It turned out, Perls found, that the people who were living well past the average life expectancy were often doing so because of unusually good genes, which seemed to protect them — at least for most of their golden years — from many of the problems that plague others throughout their 70s and 80s...."

Five Intriguing Facts About People Who Live To 100

"...Located in the Northeast or Midwest.
States with the largest populations generally have the most centenarians. California has the largest number of centenarians (5,921), followed by New York (4,605), Florida (4,090), and Texas (2,917). Alaska has the fewest residents age 100 and older (40). Wyoming (72), Vermont (133), and Delaware (146) are also among the states with the fewest centenarians..."

What if Age Is Nothing but a Mind-Set?

"One day in the fall of 1981, eight men in their 70s stepped out of a van in front of a converted monastery in New Hampshire. They shuffled forward, a few of them arthritically stooped, a couple with canes. Then they passed through the door and entered a time warp. Perry Como crooned on a vintage radio. Ed Sullivan welcomed guests on a black-and-white TV. Everything inside — including the books on the shelves and the magazines lying around — were designed to conjure 1959. This was to be the men’s home for five days as they participated in a radical experiment, cooked up by a young psychologist named Ellen Langer..."

A radical experiment tried to make old people young again — and the results were astonishing

"..How many of aging's negative effects could be manipulated and even erased by a psychological intervention?
In a radical experiment in 1979 that was featured in a New York Times Magazine cover story last fall, Langer and her grad students decided to take this question as far as they possibly could.
The results were extraordinary, but the research was also so unorthodox, so small, and so lacking in rigor that interpreting exactly what those results mean requires caution...."
