CoffeeJ, great posts this morning! U2forever, I also put on clean undies "just in case" :giggle:

Bernina, I feel so torn for you, my friend. Starting over is always overwhelming, the things we let run through our head. Well, we don't let them but they are there nonetheless. You have been here before, and you can do it again. Just a bit wiser. I wish I had better words, but determination is the key. Take a few days to wallow in self pity (and hug your Zuri) if you need, then pick yourself up and get moving on your new life path. First SB bus stop is in Arizona. We love you. :therethere:

Hey everybody....I haven't posted in awhile, but I think about you often! I kind of miss the Jodi Arias trial. Er, trials.

Bernina, I'm sort of in the same situation only I haven't made up my mind yet. I know what the best thing to do would be but it's hard to do. Good luck with your situation!

I can relate as well. Sending hugs and prayers

U2Forever! :welcome4: to our SB thread! :greetings: I see that you are also in S.C., like our daisymae here - hoping you are safe from all the flooding!!

 at #greenpoop

Well, had my appointment with my orthopedic surgeron (sp?) this morning... I asked that we delay the surgery on my left hip until my Huz is feeling good! He was good with that! Thought I might have to go get ANOTHER referral from my primary doctor to do this, but he said no! Whew... what a hassle they make you jump through! :gaah:

Now the Huz isn't so anxious to get home... LOL! At least "the" doctor at the care center came to see him yesterday. I guess they are having a pow-wow meeting to see if they can release the Huz! Is that "release the Karkon"??

Anyway - off to read some other threads! Hope daisymae is okay - and YES! I think the flooding has interfered with your internet. Remember they bury those cables, well, at least here they are strung up on our telephone poles! No underground stuff here in rural Auburn!

Later! :seeya:
and another from my "sharing" folder!

Perhaps it's time to take a big short vacation and visit friends out of town? Get out of Dodge so to speak. We could take that sidebar trip right now all of us together...

You don't feel unsafe, do you?

I was just having that same thought, ATL. Bernina, do you feel safe? I hope so, you take care dear lady. (((hug)))

Report: BK black Whopper causes '#greenpoop'

CNN) - Burger King's new "Halloween Whopper" with a black bun is having some scary after-effects. It seems after you eat it, you will have a ... ahem ... green bowel movement.

People are talking about their experiences on Twitter, using the hashtag #greenpoop.

Burger King has explained the phenomenon by saying the cause is the A-1 sauce baked into the hamburger bun to give it the dark color.

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I guess no one at BK googled what will this make poop look like. Remember feeding your baby beets for the first time? Bight red poop. Grape juice produced lime green.

Remember the movie Cujo, and the dad worked for a company that made a kids cereal that poop red. (Adilia, mih, loved Cujo, it was one of the many movies we watched every day the last nine months of her life.)

Well, I did it.............and I'm starting all over again. It's going to be real hard.
Sanity vs. financial stability.
I hate when this happens.
So crossing my fingers that the world ends today, lol!
Perfect timing if that's the case! :floorlaugh:
At least I own my house, and I just paid my property taxes, I have feed for a month for the critters, food in the fridge, SB peeps who love me,...............................I'll get through this.

Now I'm scared for other reasons.............this is so crazy.:gaah:

Yes Bernina you will make it. AND you are young enough to start over. Too many times people wait to say it's all over, they are left all alone. My mother was a perfect example in the end all she had was me. Lives can be rebuilt. Such a shame he had a fine person to share life with and couldn't hold up his end....You are loved.

Bernina, I love you girl. I guess you're sitting out watching Kissy and Zuri while the sunsets. Gives you a lot of time to think doesn't it? I admire you in so many ways Bernina - in just what all you've been through, and the way it's made you stronger - more certain of your decisions - and the faith that you will get past this.

1940 - Portia Faces Life debuted on the CBS network. This radio soap opera centered around the life of Portia Blake Manning, an attorney and a widow with a young son. And we thought this concept was unique to TV nighttime soaps of the 1990s... Portia Faces Life was extremely popular, and therefore, had many sponsors -- none of which were soap. The sponsors included Post Toasties, Grape Nuts Flakes, Grape Nuts Wheat Meal, Maxwell House coffee, Jell-O desserts and La France bleach.

I'm still alive!

Anyone hear from Niner or Bernina?

The pages are dreadfully slow again tonight, but during the day I'm zipping everywhere quickly. Why, I ask you? Is it because WS has more traffic at night maybe?

1985 - Terrorists hijacked an Italian cruise ship, Achille Lauro, demanding the release of prisoners held by Israel. Of the four hundred people on board, only Leon Klinghoffer, wheelchairbound, was shot to death; an example that the four Palestinian gunmen meant business. They surrendered two days later to the Egyptians who promised them free passage out of their country. When Klinghoffer’s body was returned to his native New York City, New York Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan said that Leon Klinghoffer died “because he was an American, because he was a Jew and because he was a free man.”

Seems like some skeletons are coming out of the Kennedy's closet. Poor Rosemary, and now it seems Patrick is rattling some bones.

How could you do such a horrible thing to your child?

It's a sure sign that rain's a-coming when...

•No dew on the grass at night is a sign of rain

•Clouds on the hill tops, if falling, promise rain; if rising, clear weather.

•A pale rising moon portends rain the next day.

•If after a rain you can see enough blue sky to make a man a pair of pants, it will clear.

•Look for rain when the crow flies low

•When cats wash behind their ears, it means rain

•It is said that flies bite more when it is going to rain

•When chairs squeak, of rain they speak.

•Catchy drawer and sticky door/Coming rain will pour and pour.

•Spiders leave their webs when it is going to rain

•A ring around the sun or moon means rain or snow coming soon.

•When grass is dry at morning light/Look for rain before the night.

•Sea gull, sea gull, sit on the sand/It's never good weather while you're on the land.

•Sound traveling far and wide, a stormy day betide.

•When leaves show their undersides, be very sure that rain betides.

•If ants move their eggs and climb, rain is coming anytime.

•Chimney smoke descends, our nice weather ends.

•When the ditch and pond offend the nose/Then look out for rain and stormy blows.

•When clouds look like black smoke a wise man will put on his cloak.

•Dust rising in dry weather is a sign of approaching change.

•If salt is sticky and gains in weight/ It will rain before too late.

•Red sky at night, sailor's delight/ Red sky in morning, sailor take warning.

•When clouds appear like rocks and towers/Earth's refreshed by frequent showers.

•When the wind is blowing from the east/'Tis not fit for man nor beast.

•Flowers are more fragrant before rain

•The scarlet pimpernel closes in the day time before rain comes.

•The aching of a broken bone predicts rain.

•The more cloud types present, the greater the chance of rain or snow.
