Great too see Dmacky and Zuri posting!! Zuri, I must say your sense of humor is awesome! I know how you feel about being huge...I am also doing prednisone "huge club". And, Niner what can I say about them messing up your hubby's test. Would make me mad as all get out.

Well dear peeps, I have gone and pulled some lower back muscles and in much pain. Went the Dr yesterday and got a shot of steroids and they upped my dose of prednisone and I got some mild pain pills. I'm staying in bed most of the time on heating pad and then ice. Just hurts when I move! Getting out of bed is a major production!

Our grandson is getting married this weekend down in Tenn and Dr said they will get me to the wedding in spite of my back pain. We already have reservations at the hotel. May be loopy from the pain pills, but...I'm going to that wedding!! My SUV has a plug in in the back seating area for electronic devices, thinking I can take my heating pad and plug it in? I also have adjustable lumbar and heated seats in front that I can maybe find a comfy position or at least be able do adjustments during the trip. She told me stop and get out of the car and walk around every couple hours. Doc said call her Thurs and let her know how I'm feeling and she may give me different pain meds for the trip.

Time for some heat again. Going back bed. Everyone enjoy your day.

OH no, coffeeJ! You are certainly one determined grandma. I hope all works out OK for you to take the trip and that you will enjoy that wedding. That grandson is one lucky guy, and must be very special. Sending healing thoughts your way, special lady.

Niner, I am seriously concerned about your DH. Five units of PRBC's should have brought his counts up higher. And WTH with the bone marrow biopsy? Please make sure you keep VERY VERY good records of his care, appointments, results, instances like where the ball seems to have been dropped if you get my meaning. I have been thinking about you both and I certainly understand your frustration and his quite frankly. I think I would have dropped 100 F bombs by now even if I wasn't all jacked up on Prednisone. Hugs and jingles to you both!

I know the five units of RBC SHOULD have done something - well, it did - it made his face pinker! Since he was completely white before - and that's about it! re bold - and to you too!! Hope YOU feel better!

Missing Teenage Girl Found Murdered Near Her Crashed Minivan in Creek

"A teenaged girl who reportedly went missing on her way to church was found slain near her crashed minivan in a Dallas creek, officials said.

The body of Zoe Hastings, 18, was discovered Monday by police responding to calls about a vehicle in the creek near East Lake Highlands Drive and Easton Road. She had died from "obvious homicidal violence," Deputy Chief Rob Sherwin said during a press conference..."

Montana Judge Strikes Down State's Lethal Injection Protocol

What You Need To Know About The New Federal Prisoner Release

"...How it works:

Let’s say John Doe is one of the prisoners to be released later this month.

Doe was convicted of a federal drug crime several years ago. At the time, the federal judge who sentenced him probably consulted something called theDrug Quantity Table, which showed what “offense level” Doe deserved based on the type and amount of drug involved in his crime. The judge then used a separate table, called the Sentencing Table, to figure out how many years Doe would go to prison based on his offense level.

But the Sentencing Commission’s new guidelines essentially instructed the courts to adjust Doe’s offense level downward by two levels, which in turn meant that his sentence could be reduced, too. For instance, if Doe trafficked 80 to <100 grams of heroin, he used to be a Level 24 offender, and he was sentenced to prison for 51 to 63 months. When the guidelines changed, he was adjusted downward two levels to a Level 22 offender, and he was now eligible for a new sentence of 41 to 51 months...."

Ok, spilling the beans (did some editing) on Saturday's adventure:

Good people, good food, exhilarating ride, just a really fantastic day that ended back in Phoenix.....I haven't felt so alive in a long time.
I haven't been on the back of a motorcycle for 35 years and it was just the ticket to get me in a positive place. My old school bud, Marc, let me ride with him, he had blues playing on his speakers all the way up and back, which probably took most automobile drivers by surprise :floorlaugh: there's something to be said about the sounds of a Harley and blues music that just makes the scenery more intriguing.
And the weather was perfect.
I'm going to be splitting my time between Phoenix and here, didn't realize how much I have missed my old friends.
Playing catch up!
Hope all my peeps who are under the weather feel better very, VERY soon!

Now the Huz wants me to see if I can get the heart dr. and hematologist together, so he can get his pacemaker. Meaning give him 3 or whatever units of red blood cells and put in the pacemaker. So I've called the heart specialist and his nurse said to go ahead and send the blood results and will give them to the doctor who will be doing surgery. Then called the meatologist's nurse and her the fax # of the heart specialist! I hope this works. His heart is really weak and he thinks he would get better much faster with the pacemaker. We shall "see" what each doctor says! :waiting:

Okay - logging off for the night! :pcguru:

Bernina, what a joy it is to "hear" you sounding young and spunky! Glad you had such a great time on the run. But .... did you win anything?

Quite cool here today. Wish my trees would start shedding their leaves. I don't want to be raking in freezing weather.

Hugs to all who want one!!

I have been in Hoarder's Hell. Over the weekend, my entire basement and first floor were emptied, HEPA filters running, movers and cleaning crew here taking all the junk out of my basement I didn't know I still had. There were strollers and a high chair, a walker and my youngest is 22....

I hired a decorator/designer and my BFF to take charge. I now have lighting in my kitchen where I can actually see. They took away all my furniture except for several pieces so that I can re work my home. I come from a furniture dynasty in High Point, NC so you can imagine my apoplexy. So the decorator is a tyrant as she won't let me have my way and my BFF is a traitor because she agrees with her.

I happen to like chairs. All kinds of beautiful chairs. And I have been reduced to TWO in my family room. TWO. I used to have six. I think. It was kinda crowded in there so I may be off by one or two. But I am getting a new sofa and a swivel chair, new custom bookcases and fireplace wall when I have the million dollars to do it. I am excited about taking my house back before it took me. There were days when I have just figured I would die and they'd just throw me out back. Dust to dust.

I still can't breathe, taking a ton of Pred, tethered to an oxygen tank, but I am determined to try and get some strength back in my legs at least. I don't look at all like me which is the weirdest part.i am HUGE. I have no neck and slits for eyes. My eyebrows went all white and my hair fell out in chunks. But hey, I am still here. How blessed am I.

The wonderful messages of caring and support and well wishes have meant so very much. This apparently is going to be a very long recovery process and as the IGG transfusions are $10K a pop and from Spain, I may be posting in Spanish. I am hoping they can figure out from these upcoming lung biopsies what the heck is living in there and wash it out with witch hazel, bleach, coffee grounds, deodorant, Epsom salts and all of CJ's other tips and tricks. CURE!!!!

BBM Glad you are still here. :loveyou:

Even tho' you are not a "senior citizen" yet and you have the much-needed help to accomplish your house straightening-up (mentally- this is a huge job, never mind the physical thingys involved):

Senior citizens jubilant after a good house cleaning, so the research shows

" Senior citizens who keep a clean and orderly home tend to feel emotionally and physically better after tackling house chores. The reason for this jubilance is the exercise it takes to get the job done, according to new findings by a Case Western Reserve University school of nursing researcher..."
