I agree with you. We have the best and I am so in awe.

BTW, I don't know if you were referring to the old song or not, but it sure rings true.

Actually, the song did play in my head while I typed. I don't know why, because I have not thought of that song in years. But for some reason it came into my head...so I used it LOL.

Okay, still trying to slog my way through this waste of paper, and just had to share this brilliant quote from the book.

"I have to say I never liked Amy. Yes, Casey stole some of her checks and cashed them, but that's no excuse for hREALLYer stabbing her supposed best friend in the back."

Really? ?

-----------
I wonder if he realizes who stabbed who first? I havent seen the book anywhere in the Cleveland area. I bought mine at WalMart. What did she have in mind telling Amy she could move in the next week!!!:what:

I hadn't heard it in forever, but when I read the words in your post, it was singing again in my head. I wish I knew how to post the song, but here are a few of the words.

Oh the games people play now
Every night and every day now
Never meaning what they say now
Never saying what they mean

God grant me the serenity
To remember who I am

Cause you've given up your sanity
For your pride and your vanity
Turns you sad on humanity
And you don't give a da da da da da

I think the real reason JB did not like Amy was that she was.........gasp...."honest". Bad for business when you are a defense attorney. lol jmo:seeya:

lol.

To be serious here for a minute.
I don't know why Baez had to take a stab at Amy.
The girl did nothing wrong, KC was the one who stole from her.

The other thing Baez had to bring up in the book, was that the prosecution had "to fly Amy in from France".

So what?
What's the point?

Just sour grapes in my opinion, all the way around.

Could it be possible that Casey insisted that JB must include a couple (or more) of her personal "digs" in the book as a condition of her signing the release? Could there actually be more coauthors than we realize?

All three prosecution attorneys could have hit all twelve of those jurors in the head with a 2 x 4 and they still wouldn't have gotten it right. These statements thrown in Mr. Ashton's direction as to why the verdict results did not come out correctly leads me to believe they are personal.........nothing more. Millions upon millions of viewers saw the same thing you did, yet you single out one attorney from the prosecution table. The only one of the three that has no love for Mr. Baez yet has never kept that a secret.

Just my perception and always JMO.

and....he was forced to apologize to Mr. Ashton in open court. Lots of things in this book are simply payback.

You've said it so well.

Just wanted to add that not only did FCA clean out Amy's checking account, she also stole her cash and claimed Amy must have hid it while sleepwalking.
I don't recall how much money FCA ended up taking.

I wouldn't be surprised if FCA kept Amy as her patsy (I mean friend) so she could use her as a place to crash, eat and maybe even lift a few bills out of Amy's wallet ever so often.

I can feel my blood pressure on the rise. Amazing how some small insignificant things can feel so bold as to make assumptions about me and my children as long as their identity is hidden.

Ahhh - miss plum? Rossva was quoting TorisMom003, not talking about his/her own blood pressure.....:waitasec:

It seems to me that JB is just continuing his smarmy defense attorney modus operandi - victimize the victim for the betterment of the felon. His book is full of it. Amy, George, Yuri, the media, etc. Unethical and disgusting. JMO.

Time for a numbers update. Let's see how long it takes for those numbers to climb back up again.

Amazon Best Sellers Rank: #1,134 in Books (See Top 100 in Books)
#3 in Books > Law > Criminal Law
#16 in Books > Biographies & Memoirs > True Accounts > Murder & Mayhem

Falling, free falling - in just a couple of minutes to 1186/4/21.... I think Baez is hearing "Call me Maybe" from the networks, but not in a good way now....

BBM My guess is he wants people to blame the prosecution for the astronomical bill this whole charade cost the state of Florida. Deflect, deflect, deflect. Bikini Salesman indeed.

I hope I'm not boring you all with my ranting and raving about JB and his fantasy "non-fiction" rag.

So, in Chapter 20, Baez covers his failure to meet the deadlines/specifications of what his "experts" are going to testify to. And then he covers JA's request to and HHBP's finding of, the fact that JB was in contempt of court. Let your imagination go...I'm sure you can come up with the "poor me" angle JB intended.

THEN! In Chapter 29, while discussing his failure to get Eikelenboom's deposition/report in on time, he says, and I quote:

"He (HHBP) refused to allow the witness to testify on the issue dealing with the possibility of DNA analysis on the decompositional fluid in the trunk of the car.

He also stated that he was going to consider holding me in contempt after the trial.

That shook me up, but good. What was he going to do to me? I didn't know. I had never been held in contempt before."

ARRRGH!!

I though of this song:

Games People Play lyrics by the Alan Parsons Project

Where do we go from here
Now that all other children are growin' up
And how do we spend our lives
If there's no-one to lend us a hand

I don't wanna live here no more
I don't wanna stay
Ain't gonna spend the rest of my life
Quietly fading away

Where do we go from here
Now that all of the children have grown up
And how do we spend our time
Knowin' nobody gives us a damn

Games people play, you take it or leave it
Things that they say, just don't make it right
If I'm tellin' you the truth right now, do you believe it
Games people play in the middle of the night

Interesting because it sounds like stuff FCA and Cindy might be thinking

Where is this quote from? The book? Who said that? TIA

I do not believe it is a quote, but was Miss Plum interpreting what Baez thinks about this entire situation. IMO it sprang from his quote about Amy H. and how he "never liked her" because she "stabbed Casey in the back" with her testimony.

Ugh....it's all just so putrid. He lurves his poor little Casey because she is so nice and everything. Nevermind she killed her child, no one will ever be able to accuse her of testifying against a friend in court!

krkjx is correct, I was bitterly parodying his disgusting logic which turns victims into villains and villains into victims.

]"I have to say I think Caylee is overrated. Yes, she ended up dead in a swamp being eaten by animals but that's no excuse for her putting her poor mother through a long arduous trial and then having to be a pariah ever after." [/B]GMAFB.

BBM:
That is in quotes. Did JB write that?

Ahhh - miss plum? Rossva was quoting TorisMom003, not talking about his/her own blood pressure.....:waitasec:

LG, I realized that (but still don't see how it fits into his post since TorisMom was clearly not talking about him), ignored it and was addressing the second part of his post wherein he decries JA for not doing his job. Because apparently JA is supposed to never, ever put a foot wrong but everyone else can be as disgraceful as they please.

This is the first time I have seen this video. Not sure how I have missed it before now. Just have to say I love this girl!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=fvwp&NR=1&v=bAy6kn-EIpk

That one is a CLASSIC! "I left my pink tuxedo shirt with Zeener the Dry Cleaner!". Also the hair looking like "Kate Gossling meets Jonathan Bauers from 'Who's the Boss'" the girl nailed the felon to a T. She did so well if you read the comments people are cursing her out as if she really is the felon!

I can feel my blood pressure on the rise. Amazing how some small insignificant things can feel so bold as to make assumptions about me as long as their identity is hidden.

My dislike of Jeff Ashton has absolutely nothing to do with my feelings about Jose Baez. My dislike for Jeff Ashton is he didn't do HIS job in a slam dunk case; and for that reason some one most here think murdered her daughter was set free.

BBM- ah, Rossva...you may want to rethink that. TOS and all that.

PS- I think the OP was referring to Amazon reviewers.

ETA: and I'm confused...how can it be a "slam dunk case", but one can't assume (think) that Casey did murder Caylee? Wouldn't one who assumed that it was a slam dunk also concede the reason to be that the defendent was in fact guilty? I know there's a contradiction somewhere in there. lol
