I might be in the minority but I thought GA looked different (for the better) than in the past - he seemed stronger and less "whipped" without CA with him.

For a brief moment, I had hope that maybe it was a sign that he was going to come forward and sue JB and KC for those unproven accusations that they made of him or better yet, sue KC for Caylee's murder - then reality made things clear and I realized it would not happen. :sigh:

Things have never been better for George, he had a job handed to him, and his share of Dr Phil's money, it looks like another new SUV, his daughter got away with murder, so he has a lot less stress to deal with.

A miracle would be he left CA, has nothing to do with KC and writes a book with the money he gets from a lawsuit against KC and CA and JB.

You've got good eyes!

It looks like he is making a focus of his hands. Maybe he is free of those evil women. I have felt because of his work situation he has clung to CA. But I would imagine when you have gone as far down in the depths as he has with CA and KC there comes a time when breaking free is not so scarey. He and CA never really seemed connected. He apologized for his wife at the tow yard and the depositions at the police station so I never felt he totally was on the same page. When Jeff Ashton spoke of GA he seemed to have simpathy for him. So I trust Jeff Ashtons point of view.

Ashton had a lot more compassion for what Caylee went through than ANY of her family did, that's for sure. Why is he even showing up there?

I agree, JA, LDB and FG all three had more compassion for Caylee than any of her family members.

bbm:
Might be because Jeff said George was a broken man in the courtroom. To George, that’s the kindest thing anyone has ever said about him.

IDK what the hoopla is about? I feel that is was a very magnanimous gesture. From Dr. Phil interview:

George Anthony Says He Wanted To See Tot Mom Convicted In Caylee’s Death
George Anthony told Dr. Phil McGraw in an interview that aired Monday that, while he did not want his daughter Casey to end up on death row, he was disappointed that she was not convicted on felony charges related to granddaughter Caylee’s death.

“That’s being truthful,” Anthony told McGraw in the third part of an interview on “The Dr. Phil Show.” “…I don’t want to see my daughter put to death but I wanted her held responsible for my granddaughter. I did, and I still do.”
JA didn't play dirty games before nor during the trial like JB.

"Personally, I think I would have been happier if the death penalty had not been reintroduced into the case, even though I think on some level I think Casey may have deserved it," Ashton said in the 324-page book. "Simply put, I just didn't think the jury would go there."
JB used CA and GA. He knew they didn't want fca to get death. He knew they would do and say anything to keep their daughter from getting DP so he took that knowledge and said what he said in the OS.

So why wouldn't GA show up to congratulate JA. JA, a person outside the family that knows the inside information, that knows the He77 that he went through during trial, the person that knows why he didn't jump out of the witness chair and beat JB senseless - because he was trying to save his daughter's life.
IMOO If we all were being honest - what would we do to save our child's life? If I found myself backed into a corner like GA was, I would have done the same thing, sat in that witness chair and used every bit of myself to take what was being thrown at me if it would have kept my child from being put to death.
GA was just trying to keep fca from being put to death. Dr. Phil Show, GA: I don’t want to see my daughter put to death but I wanted her held responsible for my granddaughter. I did, and I still do

At last, something good coming out of this nightmare...congrats Jeff!! You are so deserving of this victory. Good luck!

PS- of course, Caylee's Law can't be forgotten as "something good".

And then as far as we know, of course not documented, his daughter who escaped death row and not only that she escaped a prison sentence because her Father fell on the sword gave her father the bird as she walked away.

Jeff Ashton is a wonderful man maybe GA has finally found someone to look up to.
Go Jeff Ashton!!!! You will be a great States Attorney.

Now all we need is a pic of CA. It's more common for men not to wear one I think.

Perhaps, but someone posted an earlier pic where he was wearing a wedding band. But you are right - a pic of CA without one would definitely make you go hmmmmmm.

According to HHBP's order it is next week. (23rd) I totally agree....I hope not one news organization even acknowledges her until she re-offends. I doubt that will happen (them ignoring her, not her re-offending) but I can dream!:please:

ETA link for order: http://www.ninthcircuit.org/news/hig...ts Order.pdf
She had to report by the 26th but reported on the 24th, so it expires on the 23rd.

YNOT, today is the day for wine and spirits back on the sidebar to celebrate Jeff winning the election!

Hmmm, I think with all this attention with Jeff that IT may soon be appearing on a leaked source on the net, or soon have a sightin....that IT supplies the photo for as IT cannot stand not being the center of attention!

Yeah Jeff Ashton ! :party::party::heartbeat::heartbeat:

BTW... This is the first i've seen GA not wearing his wedding band.. He always wore it. Kinda makes ya go hmmmm...

I might imagine JA was the only true friend GA had on his side. jmo

Thank you LambChop - I imagine Jeff was a real rock to George during the trial, especially when they found out what the opening statement was going to be. I'm pretty sure there was a lot of pre-testifying coaching going on ....
I thought George was appropriately grateful to Jeff....just IMO.

Wonderfully said okiedokietoo - my thanks. I completely agree and I have never gotten a good answer to the question - what do you mean he fell on his sword? I thought it was clear all throughout the trial that he knew FCA was guilty.
