LG peeks in this morning....:doorhide: and asks - so how is the site today?

Could not stay on yesterday - kept clearing cache, clearing history - still freezing, still taking forever to load a reply, and then finally - just couldn't get on the site at all. What a mess! :ohwow:

Whatever was going on even Firefox couldn't block - so I bailed out for the night. Looks like we've had some cleanup done - :hero: although I said that yesterday and it lasted for um...five minutes!

Ya know...I have to agree that Perry now looks the fool for falling for the DT's carp about her life being in danger. But at the time that he had to make his decision on that, what else could he do? It would certainly make sense for anyone to believe that Casey had enemies after getting off scot-free with murder. I think Perry was between a rock and a hard place, and decided to go along with the "danger" issue because he did not want to risk calling it hogwash and then have something ugly happen.

We are now seeing this in hindsight...and you know what they say about hindsight.
So true. And he wasn't the only one.

I did 2 scans on computer last night and it found nothing. This morning I had some loading problems, seems to be ok at the moment.

I've been on some time, and all is back to normal today. Jeez, last night was bad! I did a virus scan last night just for the heck of it as it reminded me I need to do more often. Hope that everyone has some of that yummy b'fast that was put out by Bayouland and we'll start anew!

The whole site was down for a few hours last night. I don't know if it was to fix the problems we've been having, or if it was a crash.

I was panting so hard in withdrawal at one stage I thought I was gonna have to reach for a paper bag. Good to see all the good folk found their way back. :seeya:

The only problem I'm having this morning is the same forever wait with the quote button so what the heck - I'll just plow through on the reply button with comments.

Re the ongoing criticism of HHJP putting safety issues for FCA at the forefront after the verdict - I don't think he had any choice. The country was in an uproar, there were huge crowds protesting - people were ANGRY! The courts are obliged to go with the safety of an offender whether they want to or not. It only takes one unbalanced person - and then imagine the backlash that would have happened.

It was for the same reason that offenders are put in bulletproof vests for their trials and jail to court visits when they are charged with despicable crimes. It's their obligation to err on the side of safety..IMO. He's a smart guy - doubt he personally believed the carp, but he was just doing his job as chief judge.

The other thing I was thinking about when I woke up this morning....which oddly to me seems to be when I have the most clarity on issues, is that Pastor Camp is loving all this attention.

If you think about this - this is a guy who was a Christian recording star during the 80's. Lots of adoring fans etc., then he kind of faded into oblivion.

When you've gotten that much attention at one time - it really feeds the ego. We see this in Hollywood all the time. We see has-beens doing almost anything to get back into the public arena again.

Methinks the same thing is going on with Pastor Camp....:waitasec:

I found the site was down around 7:30 PT when I went to submit a post. I kept waiting for WS to come backup and finally gave up. I saved my post and keep checking to see if WS was back. Looks like it came back on around 11:00PT. So it was down for quite a while.

LG, try what I regularly do? When I want to respond, I do a right click/open on the quote button, and open "in new tab". That give it time for opening in another tab, while I continue reading the thread. Many times also, by continuing to read the thread, I'll no longer feel the need to do the response by the time I'm done reading and get to the open tabs.

Then again - for those that are "real time" reading vs. catching up reading, :waitasec: that isn't gonna help ya.

Thanks for the hints and I appreciate it. But you aren't a "big mouth" like me and I always gotta reply!:floorlaugh:

At least you're worth reading LG. I always hunt around for your posts when I log in.
Congratulations!

Haa, so true. Maybe I'm feeling her lies in a backwards sort of way! :floorlaugh:

It feels like the point I got to with my former sociopath roommate. Now we're on the other end, knowing what a liar she is, and how dare she keep lying! It's the point we realize just how much she doesn't give a carp and will keep lying anyway in the face of truth we all know. I think that's why I blew up about it last night. Welcome to this end, folks. Now we're the scorned ones who know the truth and have to deal with her lying anyway. I bet this is how Amy, Tony, and whoever else she burned felt like years ago, God bless them. And it's only going to get more aggravating from here because she's not going to stop.

Are you on a roll this morning or what?

Agree, pretty common for those psuedo religious types to hide their true feelings and motivation behind a well protected veil.

It's downright arrogance IMO. The same old 'I will do as I please and if I tell you that's what happened, THAT'S what happened .... you fools'.
