What does this mean? His office closed or did JB get disbarred?

ETA Maybe this is in the other thread?

Interesting...:waitasec: I'm wondering if he got some kind of decision come down that said he could not head up his own firm and could only work under the supervision of senior partners...

Does 1 + 1 = :slap: ?

I really hope that Casey is stupid enough to commit tax fraud! Casey seems to think she is entitled to everything without having to give anything back. She is her own worst enemy! It's her only endearing quality, imo.

Slow down everyone.
I looked at the dates and it's way back when. it looks like he couldn't make up his mind about what he wanted his law firm to be called so he changed it.
That's all I see.

Macaluso's donation came from his own pocket. It was more than likely money that was earned and taxes had already been paid on it. When he donated it to Jose for Casey's defense, Jose would then owe taxes on the $70,000.00... if I am not mistaken?

I am no expert on income taxes but it stands to reason that Jose would have to pay taxes on any monies he received for Casey's defense, no matter what the source of the funds. That's money earned for doing business as an attorney, i.e., which is his job, so it is money he earned doing his job. It should be taxable just like anyone else's wage or salary is taxable. But...I think Casey would also owe taxes on the same $70K because essentially it was not a gift to Baez but to Casey, even if TM handed the check directly to Baez. If income is classified as a gift is it not taxable? I think at least a portion would be taxable, if not all.

ETA: As for the ABC payment, Casey is the one responsible for the taxes. The IRS will not care if someone didn't tell her the score. She's the payee so she is the taxpayer on record.

So you are saying there are two companies open? The Baez one and the new one incorporated on the 30th of this month/year?

Yep, I agree

I agree with Watcher 9...
What I see is that Baez's has created a new partnership with lawyers Manto and Gonzalez and together have become BMG Law Group

http://sunbiz.org/scripts/cordet.ex...et_princ_comp_name=BAEZJOSEA&ret_princ_type=R

Financially, Baez may have needed to bring in partners to keep his law firm from closing

The registered agent on the new LLC is one of the 2 lawyers that is the BMG Law Group and Baez is listed as Mgr as well as the other 2 lawyers

There are more posts and links on this issue in the Baez Foreclosure Thread

I haven't seen anything with the state closing it down, but then again, he never follows through. According to his website, it looks like his Kissimmee office is still open with only attorneys JB and Michelle M listed.

The second office could be his new only office now or he could leave MM in charge of the Kissimmee office.

ETA I just saw Intermezzo above post so I guess you can tell I don't know what I'm really talking about.
I haven't seen the name change from Baez to BMG yet, just a filing for a new lawyer group. LOL

Looks like I am wrong,...or poor choice of words using name change:blushing:
Looks like Baez Law Firm, PA is still ACTIVE and a new BMG Law Group LLC was created.

Wait for it.....
Wait for it......

The "G" stands for Gonzalez

Again?

Actually we had a bit of a conversation last nite about someone with "G" name (or was that a PM?) Anyway, wait till Bayou shows up.

Hmmm! Maybe lessons learned while defending KC? The Baez Law Firm will do the lawyering, and the BMG Firm will handle sales of pictures, intimidation of witnesses, and evidence retrieval services? Sort of a CYA move? MOO

I think it was a different "G".

Well, it's not hard to see why Casey continues to feel entitled to disregard debts. She claims indigency and doesn't have to pay her PO fees and does not have to make any payments toward the judgment the state/county has on her. Casey may believe that if she doesn't have the money to pay, the IRS will forgive the debt.....

Good luck with that! Haha! One year I shorted the IRS $330 (not on purpose, honest), and they all but came after me with pitchforks and blazing torches ...they do NOT have a sense of humor...if they are due money they WILL get it, one way or another....eventually. I would think ill-gotten gains like KC's would get, um, special attention. I'll bet IRS agents don't appreciate KC receiving blood money any more than the rest of us do.
