Yes, they had to discredit Georges testimony and also explain Caseys incriminating behaviour- all the lies, apparent lack of grief and not reporting Caylee missing. Enter severe abuse. The family acted somewhat odd in the media and seemed to support their daughter and cover up for her, change details in their stories and opinions (though their actual testimonies were pretty straightforward, "chlorophyll" excluded). The defense took advantage of the parents willingness to support their daughter and even lie for her to discredit them. I believe the abuse accusations and just how far the defense was going to go came as a surprise to G/C though, I bet they felt betrayed. And it worked in JB`s favor that George seemed p****d at him (no wonder) on the stand.

Since GA has made no effort to clear his name, I say he was surely a part of the Defense Team. If he wasn't, he would have walked out of that courtroom and not sat there like a wart on a frog. Disgusting! I don't care what silly rules JP stated....nothing would stop me from shouting out and walking out! Money is such a lure for this family. They don't care what others think; It is always about the money!

Since cindy name Caylee, does anyone wonder why her daughter allowed her to do that? I know I wouldn't like it. So Caylee was part Lee and part casey. Boy, cindy didn't think too much about that one .. or did she?

The two men in the family are weird and the woman are just plain crazy. The four of them are highly dysfunctional.

For over three years, this family sent the public on wild goose chases....knowing the entire time FCA caused their grandchild's death. They spoke ill of TM probably because he stated Caylee was deceased. Couldn't have that. People would not contribute. In fact, they may send money to TM and not them. TM had to go!

Stating and knowing the victim has died causes major suspensions of funds arriving. They had to keep this thing going for as long as possible. Cindy even tried to keep it going AFTER she cremated Caylee's bones by saying Caylee was alive...all the while having necklaces made with Caylee's ashes and saving one for FCA. Cindy is a piece of work. Her Achilles heel is money.

Cindy said that none of Caylee's clothes were missing during that time. Well, DUH? :doh:

If cindy wanted to know what happened, all she had to do was pick up the phone and call her and George's car in as stolen. The car was not in casey's name.

cindy and casey are enmeshed. It is hard to tell where one starts and the other begins.

I`m not sure about the money- I believe they would make more money if they turned against Casey and gained public sympathy and credibility. They pretty much lost it- sympathy and credibility- by protecting and covering for Casey.

It's none of these things. KC is not mentally ill, she's a liar, always has been, always will be, for what ever reason, but not for the reasons Baez is giving.

This book has NOTHING to do with KC, but everything to do with Baez. IMO.

Baez through out the book tells a story of being the under dog, how hard he had to fight and over come all the injustice that was done to him, to become a member of the bar, over and over again, it's awaysl someone else's fault. never his.

So, here he is, a rookie defense attorney, defending the most hated woman in he world, and guess what?
He WON!
In the end he lost, and that's what he's fighting for in his book, in other words he wants some respect.

He lost because nobody shows him any respect, because he does not deserve it, but he does not see that.
He lost because KC is the most hated woman in the world.
He thought after winning the biggest case since the OJ trial he would get some respect from the legal community, he got nothing.....
Like he got nothing before trial, no lawyer came up to him to offer help.

By writing this book, he's fighting for what he thinks is right.

He lies and lies all through out the book, to justify his actions to get his recognition that he feels he deserves.

Excellent post, but I bolded the part where I see the book differently because I think you're giving him too much credit. He is a little, little man filled to the brim with a quest for vengeance. In my mind I see FCA & JB coming to an agreement where he had one year after the trial to rep her and collect their fame and fortunes. When he finally realized that wasn't happening, he was pissed and wrote this book. I see it as his equivalent to CM's middle finger directed to everyone (but himself) who contributed to his failure to become rich, famous and yes, respected. I don't think he believes any of this carp either, pretending to believe it is simply his only option to justify the "defense" he chose to present and avoid being even more hated than his client.

His continued attacks against GA are interesting...he really, really hates him doesn't he? I don't believe any of those allegations, but it does make me wonder just what JB wanted him to do or say for the defense that GA refused to go along with.

my bolding. I agree that George buucked the Jose system and that may be why Mr Baez is so gung-ho to get George.

If I were able to share my must ask questions with a tv talk show host interviewing Mr Baez, I'd ask 3 things:
1. Why did you allow people to search for a child you knew was dead? the time and money spent could have gone toward helping another family desperately seaching for their missing loved one.
2. Why do you stoop to name calling and petty childish retorts in your book?
3. Will you be addressing the mistruths you put in your book or are you admitting it invovles much fiction and is not a true representation of the facts as proven by court records and other true accounts?

I figure asking anything deeper would only be met with silence.

Why was kronk morally bankrupt if this was an accident? Why did Linda Kennedy boden say on national tv that someone else murdered that child? Why did they want TES records so bad if this was an accident? Why did they try to get Casey to consider a plea if this was an accident? Why didn't he mention lee's molestation accusations from casey? Why does Jose say she has serious mental issues but then believes her lies and says that his thoughts about her are complimentary? Why did the defense team call Jesse grund a suspect if it was an accident? Why is Baez out buying a saw at 3am to cut open Caylee 's skull to prove it was an accident? Why did George encourage FCA to go to any LE and tell whatever she knows to help find Caylee if he was behind Caylee's demise? If FCA was so delusional, why did her stories change as soon as they no longer fit the facts?

IMO JB knows the majority does not believe his ex client is innocent. He knows most did not buy his deceitfulness before and during the trial and even now. He is trying very hard to change the majorities mind with his BS. IMO he would of been better off not writing the (story) and keeping his mouth shut. Like a gambler, he does not know when to stop.

I agree. Nothing too complicated.... GA saw straight thru this slimy guy and wasn't shy in expressing his opinion- to ICA and to investigating LE. Word got back to JB and his massive sense of inferiority kicked in.

He doesn't believe his own lies, but what he is doing now is trying to stir up controversy and outrage, so his stupid book will get some sales. He has no job, no career, what else is he going to do other than appear on JVM and similar trying to drum up interest...? Trying to pin him down is useless, he is naturally slimy. All you get is annoyed!

From what I've read here (not directly in the heap-o-trash novel), Baez himself said that he couldn't go all the way in accusing George of murder because he lacked any corroberating evidence.

Having said that, we all know the only "corroborating evidence" resided with in the South Park addled mind of the partially convicted psychopath of a mother.

Yet, Baez is starting a firestorm about Caylee's grandfather. During the public demonstrations outside the A home pre-trial during the relatively short time Miss It was out on bond, George's behavior (as well as Cindy's) was outrageous and confrontational. However, I viewed all the footage and thought that George came across as a grief-stricken man who had lost his beloved Caylee.

As for the quote about the body in the trunk of the car, it is on this video. The whole video was shot during Padilla's bond.

The documents we've read here make it quite plain that FCA named Caylee.

Thank you for pointing that out to me now I can quit feeling so bad for him.
Basically if we have a defendant that is a known liar then the defense and everyone is is supposed to be liars. So... so much for "do u swear to tell the truth the whole truth nothing but the truth" is a big lie. So KC was in her good place with these guys. The prosecution is supposed to be the ultimate professionals and worry about the defendant and their rights, but not so much for the defense and all their people, they don't have to.
What a world we live in I am totally confused. Makes no sense to me.
The ultimate liar gets to have a bunch of people lie for her. What a lesson she learned.
I will never think "Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law"

These are the words I told the judge a few weeks ago when I was called for jury duty. So of course I was not choosen to be on the jury. There were about nine others who felt the same way. Actually there were more who no longer believe in innocent until proven guilty but they said they were afraid to say how they felt. How sad for them to be afraid to tell the truth about what they believed :-(
