I would think Baez wouldnt be so hated if he just alluded to the fact that he did whatever he had to do to get his client off...did his job as a defense attorney. Surely he cant be thinking he is going to convince anyone that the felon is completly innocent at this point.

Also... Look at Oj's attornies..arent they all deceased now? I believe defending the guilty and evil has got to really get to you and be a tremendous stress... And her Defense has got to know how evil she is... It has to be getting to them whether
they admit it openly or not.

Holding all that in or pretending otherwise will not be good for their physical and mental health.... Ive always wondered if that is why Oj's defense team all ended up sick.

When I read this post it made me think karma must be working because MONEY is their God and it's just not coming in the way they wanted it to. The only thing that is really being accomplished is more hate and disgust by the masses who believe with all of their souls that CFCA murdered Caylee and that she had/has slimy lawyers and protectors are hated as much as she is. MY OPINION ONLY

For GA to sue for defamation, JB would have to make a false statement of fact (not opinion) about GA. There are other requirements as well, but this is likely to be the big one.

Sure, letls actually count stats - now let me see how many cases Ashton has prosecuted that he's won- hundreds. Baez? This was his first wasn't it? And he won it by lying. Nice.

I agree that he wants money. But then why didn't he parlay his win into building up his career as a bonafide lawyer and earn money the old fashioned way, by reputation as a lawyer who can get his clients off? He is looking for easy money from the devil. I bet his wife would prefer him to be a reputable lawyer. He needs to divest himself from this toxic girl pronto. He could have been respected. Now that is gone. He chose the fame/fortune . Dumb.

"But Lamar complained about "histrionics" in the case and said that prosecutor Jeff Ashton's behavior during closing arguments "disturbed all of us." Ashton is running against former boss Lamar.

"You don't diss the defense lawyer and you don't diss the solemnity of the courtroom," Lamar said. "To laugh and chuckle during closing argument is something that I had warned him six times through that trial, with Linda, 'Jeff, you've got to control your emotions.' "

Lamar added: "He didn't control his emotions at the end. I don't know what the ultimate effect was. It couldn't have helped."

By the way, taking a book from conception to in the consumers hands in less than 120 days is an incredible feat. Had he put that much energy into the Anthony case, perhaps he wouldn't have lost.

Jeff AShton retired from public service at the end of the trial - July 2011.
He announced in August that he was writing a book about his career and his part in this trial. I don't recall seeing him doing other than appropriate work in Court ( as opposed to Baez who treating the court with contempt and was having fun and games with Casey) and he presumably had days off and weekends off to compose his book if he was even doing it then.

JA was not the lead prosecutor. Are you saying that he didn't put in his share of the work? Really? Because the State didn't win?The State who was fighting for justice for a precious little girl? IMO, there's only one person who lost here...and it wasn't JA...it was Caylee.

If he's repeating what she said by saying "Casey said that George did XYZ," and if she really did say it, then his statement would be true.

If he's repeating what she said by saying "George did XYZ," then his statement would be false (assuming George didn't do it).

Well I watched Ashton in action - doing most of his presentations and particularly the scientifc ones without notes - and I saw Baez reading his and being prompted off his phone screen.

If Ashton is passionate about the work he does - that's fine with me. I wonder just how long it's been since Lamar has worked a courtroom - or did he ever? Seems he just wanders around his lawyers saying - doing alright? I'll take a believer anyday. You are always welcome to support Baez.
