ITA & no they could not go back & charge her with murder, BUT if they went back to square one I believe there would be something there that they could charge her with. Either they just want to wash their hands of all of this or they have been in investigation mode since the NG verdict. I am praying it is the latter.lease: Cause by the looks of things Baez is going to ride this & keep it going as long as they allow him too.
They can't get away with this forever, can they???

I don't think they can charge anyone with anything regarding Caylee now. The perpretrator of all crimes against her has been tried and acquitted. Wrongful acquittal is not appealable the way wrongful conviction is. It was charged with what the prosecutor had evidence strong enough to take to court. It went free and cannot be charged again for what it did to Caylee.

Now with the renewed hoopla BS being forced on the public I cry again for Caylee, the victim in this case, who continues to be forgotten by those who should care the most.

Well I hope he's hanging on tight during this ride because the book is dropping - now #219 in book sales and this is just over a week since it was released. Projected figures for the end of a month on market..... :floorlaugh: ............welllll......bwahahaha!

Yea..i fear a new wave of sales based on Barbaras "Fascinating" review....those that followed the case but not closely enough to get all the facts.

Just finished watching the View (am on the West Coast) and also watched his interview last night someone posted up thread. A couple of things I noticed - JB is DEFINITELY trying to dance around the abuse issues and speak more carefully - the only time it is being discussed is when someone else brings it up. Hmmm - perhaps he is being threatened with a lawsuit.

Whoopi and Joy both looked disgusted. Barbara is REALLY showing her age - she seemed to fumble a few times.

Jose called FCA a "girl" at least three times on the View. Actually a "young girl" at least once. Really Jose??? 26 years old is not a "girl". She is a grown woman and has been deemed an adult for 8 years now.

They had a rather unfortunate choice for a commercial smack dab during Jose's spiel. :floorlaugh: LMAO - it was about mother birds protecting their baby birds with some really pretty photography of the bird families. (Had to do with oil spills and Dawn dishwashing liquid.)

I just checked with our library- they do not have his book and do not plan to buy it. When she looked up who might have it in case I wanted to do an inter-library loan, ONE copy was available in the northern part of the state!
ONE copy!!

Now I see they have allowed 2 five star reviews...how sad is that - no let me rephrase for your sake Jose - how pathetic is that?

Tell your minions to try to sound like real people when they write them, will ya?

I Just finished watching The View, first Queen Latifah..beautiful and funny as always! JB, best part was no one clapped when they were told they would be receiving JB's book, and I noticed Whoopi did not say anything (reminded me of, "if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all") except when she asked who paid for everything, I thought their body language said it all. I was very surprised when BW responded to JB about JC Duggard being held in captivity, I still don't care for BW. It was the same thing, JB's lies, lies and more lies.

Nah...a few books maybe. But I'm not sure if too many people find BW credible anymore. And publicly patting the back of a child killer's PR rep is not going to keep BW in good graces with anyone that matters, IMO.

Where does the Baez claim come from that Caseys behaviour was typical of abuse victims? Why didn`t these experts give their testimony at trial?

I read Weitz deposition yesterday conducted by the DA. It was not surprising and provided some insight into her character. As for claims of mental health issues, all that came up was that she had an average or a little above intelligence level and the tests done on her were on a normal range, except they "underrepresented" a little, showing compartmentalization. Also, she came across as talkative and overbearing according to Weitz. When talking about serious issues (I took the death of Caylee and the abuse) she showed surprisingly little emotional response. I suppose this can be considered as compartmentalization or detachement but was it because of abuse, sociopathy or simply because she was lying about these issues?

Am I going to have to go through the other depositions and interviews as well with my limited English skills because nobody in the media seems to care to check Baez`claims?

Your library staff made a good call in not buying the book. Maybe you could send a note thanking them for this wise decision and excellent public service. (Hey, everyone likes a compliment on a job well done.)

Reading Baez's book is like having a root canal without anesthesia while surrounded by a dozen clinically insane Baez fans. Ugh !!

I've read all of Ken Follet's books and those 2 books but PotEarth and WWEnd are very different than the others.

I just re-watched the 2 hour Jaycee Dugard interview last night on Discovery ID. I've read her book and both have brought me to tears for her awful experience with the sicko Garridos. I have to read her book again. Just to clean my mind of what JB said on The View.

FCA may have spent 3 years in jail in protective custody, happily enjoying her snacks and "fame". Jaycee spent the first 3 years locked in a squalid shed while hancuffed. She went through hell all those years. Yet, with only a 5th grade education, she taught her daughters, loved and nurtured them, and watched programs on tv to learn how to be a good mother.

How dare JB compare the psychopathically inclined not-guily, but not innocent that is FCA to a wonderful, loving mother who loved her children and raised them despite horrific living conditions and years of sexual, emotional, and physical abuse?

I have The View on my DVR and will watch the interview twice. The first time I'll mute it. If I think I can stomach it a second time, I may listen to his garbage.
