But in the letters it was the bra up and the flashlight stories with vague recollections of George maybe? Nothing at all like the O/S statements.
Thank heavens George didn't manage to kill himself - can you imagine the stories FCA and Baez would have told then? :banghead:

Yes ... the story must have been in its beginning stage at that point.

A major theme in the book (I borrowed it -- did not buy it!!) and various JB interviews was that he went back through the discovery to see if he could disprove FCA's story. I think it's much more likely he went back through the discovery to see what he could use to bolster it and, voila, the infamous letter!

I've tried to figure out when JB (or someone else) came up with the GA abuse story. The first mention in the book was based on a conversation JB had at the A family home the night before he was to pick her up from jail (first bond). CA said that FCA resented her. JB asked her to elaborate. CA relayed the old "the nurses gave Caylee to me first" story. JB then writes:

I said to her, "I hate to say this, Cindy, but it would have to be something much deeper, a scar much deeper than that. I'm not saying this happened, George, but take for example if you were sexually abusing her. That would be something where she would be afraid and not want to have you around the child. If that happened, I could see a mother going to these extremes."

I wasn't accusing him. I was just throwing it out as a hypothetical about why a mother might act the way Casey was acting.

As soon as I said that, there was a deafening silence in the room. No one moved. Everyone stayed very quiet. I immediately noticed it. I thought, Waaaaaiit a minute here. I parked that in the back of my mind, and I would return to it later, but I will never forget the day I said that and the reaction I got. They all sat there very quietly. It was just very weird.

I think a similar conversation happened ... but between JB and FCA .... and a new lie was born.

Im reading some of the letters now...
One thing i know is the letter with the Lee/ flashlight / dreams about mabe dad doing something was after the sucide attempt..
In the letter that she is takling about GA suicide and the memorial in couple weeks.. she ended it stating that robyns new nickname is gonna be cookie from now on.. and the letter about lee and bra was flashlight .. was addressed to cookie..

In the book.. Jose claims that casey told him her version about george/ caylee drowning / her crying all that.. was told to him early in the early months of 2009..

But that was after she had told him that GA had sexual abused her.. This happened at a whole differant time....

so the sexual abuse story came before the drowning story.. according to what jose said....

Its all really confusing the way jose writes.. it jumps all over the place.. ..

I do not think GA abused her... and I think alot of this was planned out to add to her story....

Robyn (Casey's jail pen-pal) mailed Casey's I-think-my-dad-might-have-molested-me letter to her friend on the outside on October 21, 2008.

Interesting point for those of you following the Amazon reviews--the last line of the letter is: "And for now, I will call you Lily. Not sure why, but it just came to me." :what:

Oh by the way, in the same letter, she said she had confided in her legal team about the "true" story of what happened to Caylee--she was preparing to move out of the house with Caylee and asked Zany (yes, spelled that way) to take Cays for a few days, but her "plans got beyond tangled" when Zany wouldn't tell Casey where they were!

Tomorrow, on Days of Our Lives....

BBM
No, I can't. The poor man would be turning over in his grave! Can you imagine how hurt he is? Spent his whole life trying to provide for his family, kept a beautiful home only to be accused of being a pedophile.

I cannot wait until FCA turns on JB (if she hasn't already) and releases her "tell all story" about her affair with JB. I bet he likes dishing it out, but can he take it??

I truly believe she will at some point in the future. Born round, you ain't gonna die square.

Also, after DD warched some of the inyerview tapes with George in the beginning...she now sees JB's BS FOR EXACTLY WHAT IT IS. BLATANT LIES. I asked if she thought FCA perhaps wrote part of the book or if she thought JB was as devious as Casey. Her answer...he is evil and I think thst is exactly what the Florida bar saw in him and one reason he could not gain admission for 8 years.

I say..too bad the Bar wobt hold him to those standards today.

I agree with you. I don't believe GA abused her, even though I could never stand him. George was always icky in his conversations with her concerning her appearance but I believe that's what George is all about - "appearances"

Jose has to be all over the map in his story because he KNOWS he'd be pinned down and proven to be a liar more so than he already has been. He's so obvious.

Hey Logical.. Guess what....the book is now #505 in Books.

The letter about GA maybe molested her (and Robyn's new nickname was Lily) was mailed out of the jail Oct. 21, 2008. The letter about GA's suicide attempt and the upcoming (Feb 2009) memorial (and Robyn's new nickname being Cookie) is a different letter. BUT...but but but...the earlier letter says "Cookie" in fancy letters on top.

Why call someone Cookie when her nickname is Lily and won't be changed to Cookie for 4 more months? It's a puzzle...

Maybe Lily aka Cookie is really aka Rosebud.:floorlaugh:

That date (bbm) is about one week after she was indicted/arrested for murder following George's testimony to the grand jury.

Retaliation much?

(And yes, "Lily" is quite the coincidental nickname, isn't it?)

AZ You need to read the book for us. Your great lawyer like brain would be able to pick it apart seam to seam. I will send you my daughter's copy because I am not going to read it and I want that evil talisman out of my house ASAP??:floorlaugh:

yeah i think the date it was mailed from jail was somehow mistaken..

that is the only thing that makes sence.. (well nothing in this whole thing make sense to me.. )

IMO the way that George addressed Casey with the beautiful and what not was simply his way of buttering her up so that she would talk without blowing a gasket. This is a chick who still thinks that all men want her, that her looks are most important. Tell her what she wants to hear and she may just tell you something you need to know.

MOO

Ok now i have to re-read it.. i thought casey called herself lily..
Im so confused...
But the good news .. is im leaving work..for home.. talk to you all from there..
hahah

He and Cindy had to walk on eggshells all the time with Casey - that first call of Casey's from jail to Cindy you can hear the same type of thing- Cindy tells her to stop lying but ends the sentence with "sweetheart".... they have to kowtow to Casey to get her to do anything. You do NOT want to get on the wrong side of Casey.. Poor Caylee!

To me it's just incredible that JB gives this "deafening silence" as indication of George's guilt. If someone said that to my Father he would have been stunned into silence too - like a kick in the guts from your own daughter!
I'm surprised George could talk at all after that, it would take your breath away... the gall of this sleazy lawyer.

My memory is worse than I thought. I thought those letters were passed between the two through books at the jail. CFCA sent letters out in the mail when she was in jail?

casey and robyn passed them through books.. robyn saved them and mailed them to her family..

EXACTLY. And later in the book he says he and Cheney confronted George again and George was silent for A WHOLE 40 SECONDS? Which Jose insuates is proof of guilt.

Exactly.

Sometimes people are so shocked they are speechless. The first time someone came out to me with that, even as a suggestion, I am sure I would need a while to process it, too.
