Thanks Intermezzo - there is no way I'm ever going to his website again! I didn't remember any - and isn't Diaz asking for a new trial based on the incompetence of his lawyer?

You should look up that case...Baez accused the little girl's mother of many things....yet he defended those same accusations in regards to OCA

Diaz did file a complaint asking for a new trial, but I don't think it went anywhere.

Diaz stated that he was convicted of Manslaughter and Child Abuse because Baez was a DEFECTIVE LAWYER.
That Baez's trial strategy, performance and that Baez chose NOT to disclose evidence to the Prosecutors undermined the outcome the trial...

I've been thinking that, too. If JB had come forth with the honest truth, told what really happened during his meetings with FCA and what he was thinking, how he puzzled over how to get her a light sentence or get her off, what he truly believed what happened to Caylee, I believe his book would have been flying off the shelves and bookstores would have been begging for additional printings.

Instead, he chose to spout the lies, including insulting people who wanted justice for Caylee, and ridiculed the prosecution team (one in particular). We got lies during the trial, we don't want to have to buy them in a book.

It was JB's choice to write such a book, now he has to suffer the meager returns.

Casey would never have signed a waiver to allow JB to tell the truth. She signed so that he could go on and on with her lies as a form of advance publicity for her own coming-out.

JB's hands are tied regarding the truth of the matter due to attorney/client privilege laws. However...JB could have just stuck with the facts of how the defense is not required to prove anything. He could have said his tactics were to form reasonable doubt and that defense attorneys will always try to do that regardless of their personal feelings about their client's guilt. He could have written his book without dragging George Anthony through the mud yet again.

I might understand a bit more of JB's process in doing for his client if he had not continued it beyond the verdict. His client went free. Baez has no further obligation to her. Where is the wisdom in Baez continuing to spew? It's not about winning anymore; the game has been played and the final score has been posted. So it has to be about cashing in. Baez's book and the public appearances are intended to pave the way for his wrongfully acquitted client to profit from her crimes. IMO.

I get the concept of; its not what you think they have done, its what you can prove they have done...But I never asked JB to go on and on with his malicious accusations - enough of it already. It's been 4 years of this guy running his mouth, stop it already, enough is enough.

I am so happy to see that good folks won't let him get a pay check out of what was done to Caylee, and are calling him out on it.

I predict that OCA will offend again - and that JB will be bankrupt, and the subject of law school and PR class instructions - Defense Attorney Best Practices 101, Section 2: Never ever do what this guy did.

Check out lily's comment on the review of the top 500 vine reviewer at Amazon...she thinks she didnt read the book because she wasnt detailed enough....lol. .??? "Circumstantial evidence saved a psychopath"

I laughed at Lily's comment asking Julie to detail the lies etc. I would have asked back - why Lily? Haven't you read the book for yourself? :floorlaugh:

I won't go back and quote what he thinks of himself as he portrays himself on his website. He is prone to exaggeration. Remember when he tried to parlay his time at the SA's office as a paralegal as his having been a lawyer? The bar made him remove those claims. He thinks of himself as a world-reknown attorney and the go-to guy for forensics. At the same time, he clearly isn't well accepted even in his own legal community of attorneys in the Orlando area.

He is all about puffery and not about putting his nose to the legal grindstone and earn his props. At this point, he's not even a DP qualified attorney!

I was just looking at Jeff's book at Amazon. He's in his THIRD printing and the paperback is due out August 28. Take that to your closet, Jose!

Funny thing is, Baez may have increased JA's sales by coming out with his book of lies.
People want to hear the truth. Even KC supporters must know their story doesn't add up. But hey - I would have never dreamed the jurors couldn't put this easy case together either.

Yes, it could be Baez thought writing his book this way would lead to people suddenly find respect for him. But IMO had he written it a different way, and conducted himself differently during current interviews, he might have garnered a tiny bit of respect. As is, he is further alienating the very people he wishes he could impress.

No idea..he was just tweeting a few min ago what sounded like campaign stuff, Ill go look.

I came to make sure someone posted the radio link. I thought they were just talking about him but they were talking TO him. :lol: I notice JB said when she told him what happened he could not disprove it. IOW they came up with a theory that could fly big deal.

I think this "Lily" was here at one point. I remember a person that always asked for links but would never discuss anything once the link was provided. And they would never provide a link, using that excuse "I'm not going to do your work for you". Wish this tired old brain could remember that ID.

Any news of book signings by Jose? I doubt he could hold it together for the questions that would be asked. Going by my super unofficial survey in east Tennessee, jb's supporters are mostly virtual and have identity issues. (i have not met anyone in real life that supports him). The fast majority of us feel that his client got away with murder. Have a book signing here Jose. Double dog dare ya.

My Facebook "friend" JB said his first book signing will be in Coral Gables, Florida, on July 30th. Exact location not given.

I must say that at this point, if anybody knows a Vodoo High Priestess.....just sayin. I watched a crime show the other night set in Miami and it is very real in certain communities there. Also, New Orleans. I keep waiting for that bad juju to catch up with Jose and his girl.

If he had defended his client honestly and above-board, we could say he did his job, but what he did in court was lie, lie, lie, and make a mockery of our justice system. Not to mention the incompetency of a jury whose only concern was dessert, dinners, children's movies, and going home so they could sail on cruises and veg out in front of the TV. :shakehead:

Yep, if Jose has it rough, he has himself to blame.
