What does it matter whether JWG or AZ have been 'expert' witnesses?

Excuse me for snickering when I think of the 'experts' that Baez brought to the court... some were self-styled experts and positively embarrassing to watch.
Can you say Dr Spitz and the grief lady?

Thought I'd share this. The grief lady was Silly Sally Karioth, who stated on the stand under oath that she was peer reviewed via her Barnes and Nobles reviews, lol! She was one of our favorite characters at The Hinky Meter.

Just had a big belly laugh that I wanted to share. I was showing my elderly aunt, who is here for Thanksgiving, the you tube video of last nights news report and said:

Oh Lord, that Baez man acts just like that crazy lawyer Vinney. (Referring to Joe Pesci in the movie, My Cousin Vinney)....

It was the best laugh I have had all day!!!!

I know you probably mean disrespect in the sense that Caylee was forgotten in order to save Casey, but one of the things that made me the angriest was when the Anthony's had Caylee cremated.
So much hard work was done to find her remains and put her 'back together' and it seemed as though the Anthony's wanted to reduce her even further by burning what was left.
I don't have anything against cremation and it was their choice, one that many people make when a body isn't viewable, but for some reason it seemed like the final insult by an Anthony.
IMO

I respect your choice of "angriest moment", but truly, there are so many things the Anthonys did that disgraced Caylee, ....I'm not sure that I could choose my own angriest. The hundreds of thousands of dollars they made from her broken body is definitely in my top 5 though. They very quickly replaced that sweet baby girl with the Almighty Dollar, and that is probably the most disgraceful thing you can do to any loved one, but especially to the pure innocence of a baby that all of us normal people hold to be sacred. Babies are one of the few wholesome, untainted things we have left in free society and they are to be cherished as such.

The countless, continuous, intentional "mistruths" from the Anthonys, the cold, uncaring comment from Cindy about switching Caylee's toothbrush with the dog's toothbrush - I mean, who thinks like that when a precious baby has been murdered?!?!?

I'm going to take my pies out of the oven before I get myself all wound up again....

I have no idea what is being written, so I continue to live in blissful ignorance.

However, I will say, just because I have never testified in court as an expert does not mean I am not right. Jose's own expert has a bit of egg on his face right now because he used an older version of NetAnalysis to decode the Firefox history. If my reading of the NetAnalysis change logs is accurate, he used a version to decode the file that required he manually add a bias for time zone and daylight savings time.

He was sloppy. Seems that happens a lot with browser history on this case. :banghead:

The later versions of NetAnalysis and Cacheback do the time zone bias automatically. Just like the 2004 version of the Perl script I initially found to decode the file. All agree that the search was done an hour later than what Jose's book says. OCSO did the search earlier this week. They agree too. :thumb:

So Jose, you are right. I have never testified as an expert. But that does not mean I am wrong. It just means I have never testified as an expert.

But you'd be willing to (testify as an expert) if there was any way Casey could be charged by the feds, right?

And....the Huffington Post weighs in.

A spokesperson for Baez told the Sentinel that WKMG's report relies on someone who had never testified or been admitted as an expert in the court of law.

When I read this quote "had never testified or been admitted as an expert in the court of law", I think it is a Baez mis-speak. I don't think he is saying AZ has no legal standing in any Court of the United States, I think he means this 'someone" who is our AZLawyer was not verified as an "expert" in THIS particular court/CA trial by Judge Perry, for example, by the process during the trial where a witness goes through their own curriculum vitae(sp?), and gives all of the other trials they a have testified at, how they are an expert in the particular area, like the "grief expert" (hiccup), or Dr. G. going through her whole education and why she can testify as a witness as the coroner, and then Judge Perry says, OK, this "someone" can testify as an expert in this particular case.

That is what I think Baez meant, that AZ/JWG didn't testify in this particular case, and were not vetted as an expert witness for this particular case by that process. NOT by ANY MEANS sticking up for JB, but I think some are misreading his statement.

AZ, your take on what I think? do you see what I am saying? or am I, as usual, taking 6 paragraphs to make a simple statement LOL!!

IMO, MOO< etc.

ETA: he is definitely trying to denigate or "poo poo" your findings, but I am reading what he said not as a direct insult to your legal career.

I'm confused. Are you talking about the NY Times? I am just saying that someone could read the New York Times every morning, and they would only come across three articles about the case prior to the trial. This person would not know much about the case (unless they got their news from other places) but it wouldn't be fair to say they are ignorant of what's happening in the world.

You are correct. But IIRC, the pool of jurors in this case DID NOT read the NYTimes. The majority testified that they did not read newspapers nor watched the news, nor listened to talk radio. I remember that testimony very clearly.

This was not the case of people who regularly watched Meet The Press and Rachel Maddow Show, but didn't happen to catch anything about Casey Anthony.

The jurors were asked if they watched HLN or CNN or Fox News and the ones who passed all said 'NO, don't watch news shows much'. And they were asked if they read the Orlando Sentinel and the ones who were picked for the jury said ' NO.' Same with Talk Radio.

Not only that, but Casey supposedly didn't want her creamated. (not that I care what Casey wanted) Of course, that could have been another lie, but she had Baez announce to the world that it wasn't what she wanted. Made me wonder if that was why Cindy did it.

JMO, but you owe Joe Pesci an apology. His character was much smarter than JB :snooty:

Here's last night's story to get us reminded;

I think Caylee was cremated for the same reason the car was smashed. Cindy did not want either to be reexamined.

Even though Casey said she didn't want Caylee cremated, Momma Bear Cindy knew what was best for her little cub Casey and protected her.:banghead:

JMO.

Who uses the word "fool-proof" to describe the act of suffocation when they want to make sure they will succeed? Fool-proof?

Can any of our WS computer experts tell me if there would be a copy of the page that Google displayed showing the search results? Does that make sense? I'm wondering if any of the brief intros that they show under each link that Google comes up with may have included words like duct tape or chloroform...

Did that even make sense? I don't speak computer very well. :(

Perhaps a "fool" that wants to make sure even they can't screw it up?

Just coming in tonight without reviewing...........link please folks again!

TIA!

I believe that while KC was killing Caylee it was Cindy's face she saw and not Caylee's. JMO

Hahhaa this is true. It just sounds so stupid (no offense to anyone who regularly uses that phrase). Why not "sure-fire", "without-a-doubt" or "for-sure-to-work".

Gosh....I still can't stand her. :furious:

I agree. There were so many disgraces from the Anthony family that it would be hard to pick one over the other as the worst moment.
For whatever reason the cremation struck me as the final insult to Caylee. It wasn't enough that she was left to decay for months, but then when most of her remains were found she was turned into ash and was even further diminished.
