Sidney & Tammy Moorer, Contempt of Court Hearing, Heather Elvis case, 31 July 2017

  • #121
So first they, S and TM, were out and about, TM was going to 'speak' to Heather. She didn't show. They went home...Healther called a few times. Then SM left his home and called her from a pay phone...but they never left the house after they came home?

Am I following this correctly?

Yes, and he wasn't handcuffed that night because he was making her something to eat.

This is also the same night they went to Walmart for the pregnancy test, right?

As well as one can. Haha! It's hard to untangle this web of lies.

Moorer said, to his knowledge, his wife and Elvis never met. He added that since Tammy Moorer found out about the affair, she had stayed by his side on a fairly constant basis.

Moorer said he "guessed she could have" when asked if Tammy Moorer could have called Heather Elvis that night when he went downstairs to make her something to eat.

Moorer says Heather asked multiple times why he wouldn't leave his wife.

Moorer says he thinks he saw Heather riding by his home 4 or 5 times. Says that and the notes are why he wanted to contact her to say stop.

Moorer says Heather left a note on his car - "call me". Says that's why he called her on pay phone to tell her to leave him alone.

Moorer said his wife talked to a friend of hers on that night, while the two were together. The defendant told police it was just "random stuff" the two discussed.

The detectives are then heard asking Moorer if he'd be willing to take a lie detector test. He said he wouldn't do it without his lawyer present, adding that he hates confrontation.

He wouldn't take a lie detector test without talking to a lawyer first because he hates confrontation! Hahaha.

Oh Heather, I wish you'd never crossed paths with this loser.

I'm not sure I remember hearing this particular tidbit during Sidney's trial. Almost sounds like he is admitting to them trying to lure her out that night.

Moorer said he and his wife went out of town for three weeks. When they got back is when he said he discovered the first note.

According to the witness, Moorer freely and voluntarily explained why he made the phone call to Elvis.

Martin testified that Elvis was working at the Tilted Kilt at Broadway at the Beach at the time of her disappearance.

The witness said it seemed "out of place" for Moorer to call Elvis on a night that he'd been spending time with his wife.

Martin said Moorer left the police department following their conversation. His wife came and picked him up, the witness added. "He came in voluntarily; his wife brought him in," the witness stated.

The defense is now cross examining the witness.

Martin said the interview with Moorer happened on either Dec. 19 or Dec. 20, 2013.

Moorer sat with another detective prior to the interview that was just played. According to the witness, that detective was former detective Allen Large.

And when he bought that pregnancy test, he just went ahead and took the keys out of the ignition and locked TM in there. No need to leave the car on for her...

Oh Tammy, stop mouthing "WOW" during the Allen Large discussion.
