Found Deceased Siletz, OR - 2yo Dane Paulsen, missing from yard of residence, 01 MAR 2025

This is the least of worries now, but did the dogs return to the home? Are they the family’s dogs? Could the dogs have gone in the river, too? It only mentions dog marks, no details. Sorry if answered already. My prayers are with Dane and those who love him.

Also I didn’t realize until today just how close the river is to their home ! It’s just heartbreaking

They don't issue Amber Alerts unless they have some idea who took the child, and how, and where to. A child who wandered off doesn't qualify.

Blackberries are nasty. They can do a lot of damage, even through sturdy clothing.

I'm a bit puzzled... if he was at the address stated (20738), the front yard would have been quite a ways back from the road, with an entire residence and it's yard (20736) between him and the road. Appears to be all one piece of property.

AND there's a fence/gate and foliage between 20736 and the highway. It sort of appears that the entire front property (and possibly both) are fenced.

I don't like the river right there, either... but unless it's unfenced, or there's an ungated path down to the river through those trees, I can't imagine a 2yo managing to get to it. And any of those options are quite a ways for a toddler.

I mean, granted, the fencing is 3-strand barbed wire... but most 2yos still aren't going to mess with it. Curious is he's just turned two or if he's closer to three... gonna make a big difference in how far he could get.

So, was the gate open? Where'd the info about the vehicle come from? Are there custody issues at play?

I didn't realize how near to the river the house was until I saw the aerial photo from one of the earlier links in the thread from the Sheriff's Dept which I enlarged and attached (you lose some of the pixel quality but you can see more of the area between the house and the river.) From the photo it looked like there was a trampoline perhaps out back of the house (the round object). That may have been someting else but my first glance, I thought "play area". I couldn't see any fencing on the back of the property between that area and the water but with the trees that area isn't in the open. If he "loved the water" he would naturally be drawn to it and would be too young to recognize the danger. My heart goes out to his parents.

I'm not sure what you mean. There is no "Missing Child Alert" that I'm aware of other than Amber Alerts.

Still missing! I'm checking multiple times a day. IDK it's just too relatable. Seeing those photos of the divers, God just imagine knowing they're out there looking for your little boy. Thinking of you, Dane and family.

Based on FB activity the parents do have a great deal of support. They have family in the area and are connected in the local business scene. Huge community efforts are being made. I'm glad to see that (I'm sure it's not keeping their heads from exploding on repeat, though).

But perhaps there should be? Why do we have Silver Alerts for missing elderly people who wandered off, but no alert for children who wander off? I don’t understand the difference.

Hey all, sorry first time posting about this little boy but have been closely following since he went missing. It seems there is now questions raised about possible abduction, the parents have offered a cash reward for his safe return
