Officials in Chapel Hill have issued a Silver Alert for a missing 61-year-old woman.


According to reports, police were requested for a welfare check Thursday for Cathy Martin.


She was described as a black woman, standing around 5’7’’ tall and weighing approximately 188 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

A Silver Alert has been issued for a Chapel Hill woman who has the beginning stages of schizophrenia.

Investigators learned that Martin checked herself into Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville on Monday night and checked herself out that same night at approximately 10:25 p.m.

She was driving a 2011 black Cadillac SRX SUV with the Tennessee tag reading 756KRC.

I question whether it is Alzheimer’s instead.

I did too, until I saw more than one msm outlet was reporting schizophrenia. But, who knows, maybe the person offering the info to them has it wrong.
Regardless, glad she was found safe!
