Aretha Franklin is 'gravely ill' according to reports.

The Queen of Soul, 76, is surrounded by her family in Detroit, according to Showbiz 411.

They have asked for prayers and privacy for the the singing legend, who has battled health problems for the past number of years.

Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, is gravely ill.

Nationally syndicated radio host Tom Joyner, a close friend of Franklin's, announced this morning the 18-time Grammy winner has been in hospice care for a week.

On Sunday, the website Showbiz411.com reported the singer was in grave condition in Detroit, and her family was asking the public for prayers and privacy...
