SeriouslySearching:
I wonder if LE ever checked out the gas stations and stores in the surrounding area (especially on the turnpike) for either a sighting of this guy or possibly a camera shot?

Good idea We have not heard if they found anything.

I was checking all over the NA sites to see if anything came up. Not a lot, This is a link I have been looking at for the past 3 days.. I seem to remember in a post about a pic being in a store of POI but of course I can't find it now.
But ya'll might find these links interesting especially the one about all the meth ect .

The grandmother said she saw Skyla at the scene before she was taken away. She also mentioned either the father or her husband was with her and saw her, too. So the article you saw is incorrect.

Oh okay. I was just going by what she said when she first appeared on Nancy's show and then the article I read about the funeral home and the viewing of the children.

Excerpt: FARROW: "Actually, I didn`t see her. I seen her body. Her body was covered. And I never got any closer than 50 feet to her. They wouldn`t let me any closer. So I knew they were there. I knew where they were laying. The girls were five feet apart from each other. So I knew that whoever killed them, it had to be more than one person. There`s no way they could have had time to put one gun up and grab another gun and shoot the other girl without her running at least 25 feet away. So I knew that it had to be two people that killed them. But they wouldn`t let me close enough to her." http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0806/11/ng.01.html

Did she do another interview later on? I guess I missed that one. I wonder why she didn't say she saw her when she did this interview?

Slaying of girls shocks town
__________________

sjt, tulsa (6/10/2008 9:19:19 AM)
i am sorry for the parents and families of these little girls.

there is no excuse for this.

the problem is deaths have been reported numerous times
past bixby and kiefer in counties along i75 and i40.
related, i do not know. muskogee, leonard mountin.
every day, no, one a year is too many.
drugs are bad down there the dea and osbi burn marijuana
every year
.

a small town, a small school. two girls not bothering anyone.

it sounds a lot like two little boys in arkansas mentioned in the
book the clinton chronicles. they were found on a railroad track.

the parents deserve anwsers, so does this state and community.

people pull off dirt roads all the time off main highway,
spiit up drugs, illegals, i hope it is not that. this has gone on
for over 20 years. close to county lines, each county says the
other is in charge.

there is no excuse for this. children cannot walk in rural

Almost every store/restaurant/convenient store, in the Henryetta/Weleetka and probably Okemah area has the POI's picture in there. At least that was the way it was a couple of weeks ago. I will ask my son when he returns from Henryetta Monday. Still, I am AS concerned about who turned the information about the POI in 4 days later, as I am WHO the POI is. 4 days to call? hmmmmmmmm I wonder, does he know someting, held back calling out of fear, and is shifting the story onto someone who looks like a particular person who was not long from then, released from prison on child molestion charges; or looks like a heck of a lot native, or part a native american man (which would fir the discription of a heck of alot of people down there) in order to protect someone, even himself? Yes, I know there were 6 witnesses, but I dont believe 6 people saw the poi. I believe the 6 witnesses included people who heard the shots fired, or who maybe saw the children walking that day.

I still have the feeling that the POI drawing is a red herring. I don't know why. It's just an itchy feeling I have.

Whatever his reason was Agent Brown emphatically stated it was a good one. So his/her reason must have been easily verified because OSBI said they checked it out.

She also did say there were six that saw the POI that day. I am sure many people down there may be scared but at least they do have witnesses and that helps tremendously with the time of death and LE has been comfortable all along that they know when the girls died.

I don't think there may have been but one witness that saw the girls walking before the murders happen but OSBI stressed they find them very credible.

Are there sny churches close by there? I thought it may have been a Pastor on his way to get ready for Sunday services.

hmmmmmmmmmmm I would have to see where she said that to believe it. Please dont take that offensively. But otherwise, we would know if it was a ford or chevy, what the tag was, if it was native american or just an oklahoma tag. You see, the native american tags are a totally different color(S) than the rest. All the stuff that doesnt make sense from the description of one witness. I agree with Claycat. Red Herring looks very very possible. If 6 people saw the POI we would have a much better desctription. JMO

I just don't think the entire OSBI would fall for a red herring.

I give them way more credit than that and the artist that sketched the drawing has 35 years of doing this. I would think he would be very aware when someone was just making up a POI that didn't exist. Now if one witness said they saw this guy then maybe but not six like Agent Brown has stated. They all have to be in agreement that the composite looks like the POI. He said he met with them all.

OSBI also said the witnesses are not involved in the case so imo they are not family or friends and don't have any agendas to make up this. I think they were nondescript people from the surrounding area who used that road going back and forth from their community to another one for various reasons.

I never heard it that way. Do you have the link where Brown said this?
So why then did it take 4 days to have one person call it in? And did the other's wait til he did, before they did?
Red Herring.... look at this as an option. Person who reported POI and vague desctiption of vehicle, 4 days later, was the killer. Passed polygraph cuz he is cold hearted with no conscience. Just a feeling I have had, and just my opinion. I am going to go back into my videos of Rosser and Brown and look. If you have that link, please share as it would change my mind as to the way I feel.

It was in one of her pressers, frog. All I know that is what she said.

Do you really think that all of the OSBI are that dumb and would fall for a red herring? In every article that is shown even the stragglers now the POI description is always reiterated so OSBI has not backed off in the least looking for this particular POI. Last I read OSBI's site it said they were going "national" concerning this case. Imo they have shotgunned his sketch to police departments all over the country now.

I do not know the mindset of the police and why they may withhold some info over other things. Agent Brown refused when asked to say what all the witnesses saw that day. So there is much we do not know that they do imo.

We don't know if he owned the truck or borrowed the truck. We don't know if he was full blooded NA or NA/Caucasian. The sketch though was extremely detailed and imo that is what the OSBI wants us to concentrate on....how he looks. He may not be driving the Ford or Chevy anymore and OSBI knows that.

I'm not saying I dont believe you, I am just saying I have been staying very close to the case, and this is the absolute first time I have heard anyone say 6 people saw the POI. Unless it was in another forum and later corrected. I just would like to see the video or interview where Brown said this. Can anyone else help with this info? It sure would help get rid of my theory if it is true.

This kinda relates to ?? that have been asked in the last couple of post on the other page I think.

This is why the 911 tape is not being released.
The OSBI says it planned on releasing the 911 call made after the girls were discovered, but after talking with the families decided not to, saying it did not want them to have to relive that moment
http://www.newson6.com/Global/story.asp?S=8500287

Investigators combed the area in search of the girls Sunday night before heavy rain hit. Fresh tire tracks made a U-turn where the girls' bodies were. Investigators said they found other evidence that helped them identify a "person of interest.”
This was never released was it?
http://newsok.com/article/3255283/

Choate said officers were able to identify some possible tire tracks, and they had some "persons of interest” they were interviewing Monday. But as the day came to a close, none of those interviews had solved the case. http://www.newsok.com/article/3255279

Witness Emerges In Case
Investigators look into a witness account that he saw the girls moments before their deaths. A state agent said a witness came forward and reported seeing the girls near the scene where they were shot to death on Sunday.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation lead agent Ben Rosser said they tested the witness' story and believe him to be credible. During a Thursday news conference, Rosser said that the witness offered no names of people he might have seen in the area.
Rosser added that he would rather not say whether the witness offered descriptions of people in the area.

http://www.koco.com/news/16589907/detail.html

I could not find the post that explained about it taking the one witness so long but I remember it saying something like he had an albi or good reason for not being able to come forth earlier

Well if I heard it wrong I am very sorry but that is what I heard or thought I heard. In fact I thought it had already been discussed here.

I did find this from the OSBI website.

Sketch Released in Weleetka Double Murder

The man is described as a Native American, possibly part Caucasian male, approximately 35 years old with a slender build and a long pony tail. He was seen standing next to a white pickup truck either a Ford or Chevy. The truck was a single cab with a narrow strip of chrome down the side. The truck had an Oklahoma license tag. This person was seen outside this truck parked in the middle of the dirt road near where the two girls were found. Witnesses say he was there only minutes before the gun shots were heard. OSBI hopes to find him to determine if he saw or heard anything in the area. If someone recognizes this person, have them call 1-800-635-8477.

So that must mean that more than one person saw him close to the crime scene.

Now the other witnesses could have seen him other places. Like at the bridge or further up the road shortly after the murders.

I will still keep looking though.

I guess anything is possible. That's why this is so hard to figure out. I do know that I have seen some reporters actually get the facts messed up. Like the one a couple of days ago, said one of the girls lived a uh (pause) a couple of blocks from where they were found. And that it happened on June 1.
We need a page on here to put facts and the links to them so we could go back to them. That could help us all, dont you think? Is it possible to do that, as we post links to osbi reports? I dont really rely on media who is repeating something they heard or may have previously reported. Anyone is subject to error. I think it's just more important to people who are sleuthing

Oh thank you so much for that link. That still lines up with what I have been saying. Only one saw him.

Ocean, please dont think I am trying to be the one who is right. It makes no difference to me who is right as long as we get our facts straight. I am one who hates to argue, but I just know to stay on track, we need to stick together to try to keep our facts straight. There is so much heresay around, even on some media. I am more than open to anything anyone can show me that was actually stated by LE, especially OSBI.
