One thing I've never been able to figure out is, how did LE know they girls ever made it all the way to the bridge and were on their way back to the Placker house? That always sounded more like supposition to me.

Couldn't they have had a pre-planned appointment to meet someone at the area where the crime happened?

I believe LE thought the girls had walked to the bridge and were returning the direction of the Placker home because of 1) footprints and 2) witness reports. I think the only person the girls had planned on meeting was Skyla's mom. Rose was on her way to pick Skyla up when the girls were killed. I do not think they would have made plans to meet someone so closely to the time Rose was to be there.

I wish I had your faith it will be solved at all. I don't put much stock into the OSBI and the way they have handled this case.

Agents say they've received a large number of new tips since the reward in the case was raised to $160,000.

I think the OSBI deserves more credit than what they are being given.

For doing what? I haven't seen this case being moved forward at all since it began and their refusal to release information has done nothing except help the case grow cold even faster.

The article I just posted confirms what I have suspected for a long time which is they have nothing solid to go on and this reward is a last ditch attempt at buying a clue on where to begin, imo. They missed the first critical piece of the puzzle and now they only are hitting dead ends.

It really bothers me no one mentioned it before now. I do recall reading in an article somewhere there was a treehouse with a path where the girls hung out, but it certainly did not sound like this was the tree.

Knowing there is more than one way back and forth to the house which is easy access to the crime scene is critical.

It makes me take another look at the grandfather and family. The information that by vehicle it is one minute to the tree and two minutes to the bridge is also important....

I have always suspected the girls being murdered that Sunday evening is a clue in this case.
I suspect the reason for their murders occurred that weekend.
I also suspect possibly one adult shot the girls.

Since school was out, teenagers could have shot the girls any day of the week.
The girls walked to the bridge or hung around the tree every day...I read boys on 4-wheelers was at the P's that Saturday...
So who and why was the girls shot 13 times that Sunday?

The killer feels so confident that he/she takes the time and has the nerve to empty 2 guns on the girls, only 1 minute from the P's house and then shoots T. once in the privates?
What point was the killer trying to make and to whom?

Yet the killer vanishes, leaving no dust cloud on the road and no one passes a vehicle.....what are the odds?..jmo

Refusal to release information....ummm,that certainly is one way to phrase it.
Another way would be.......protecting the integrity of a murder investigation.

I have followed many OSBI murder investigations. I won't mention their track record. I am well aware of maintaining the integrity of a case. However, releasing enough information to the public in order to move an investigation forward when they have no direction is simply common sense, imo.

How did they know no one was home one minute away by car? How did they know no one would be outside waiting for the girls and hear the shots? In that one minute it would take to turn onto the road to see them, how were they so certain it could not happen? They stood there in broad daylight pumping 13 bullets into those defenseless girls without anyone witnessing the crime, their arrival, or departure.

I don't think it is teens and never have. I used to think it was drug/gun related by strangers, but I am beginning to see how difficult it would be to get away without a trace. It keeps going back to the Placker's house.

Now we have a well worn path to the spot where they were killed from where? The Placker's house.

The timeline is something that I have studied more than once. I have never been able to pinpoint an exact timeline to the events that transpired that Sunday. Knowing the timeline would help w/ a lot of my unanswered questions.

I hope it is solved soon and what dumb luck the criminals must have. To shoot 2 girls, broad daylight, not just once, and no one hears a thing. Who knew that no one would hear a thing?? Look at how long we thought someone was home that day. Then we find out no one was. ???? Someone knows something and needs to fess up and quit thinking well the girls are gone so it doesn't matter, nothing will bring them back. Bull!! Tell anything you know.
