No, we don't know how strapped in he was yet. I would say we do know that he was in the seated position when he died.

Wrong, He was in full rigor when removed from the car seat.
He was in full rigor when placed on the ground...eye witnesses
said his legs looked as if he was still sitting in his car seat. link is in the car seat and media thread.

I'm confused... I think SStar33 is saying the same thing, more or less.. ?

Good Morning America
Dan Abrams

" I think that the police officer if this article is accurate may have overstated the case but I don't think it's going to lead to the case getting dismissed. I don't think it would have led the judge to have done anything differently."

Thank you so much for sharing this info. Very interesting that Good Morning America ABC legal analyst thought the AJC info would not have led the judge to do anything differently.

You mean his previous career in "Law Enforcement"?

Right! So bright he thought by speaking cop lingo with the investigators they'd identify with him and believe his BS. I'm sure he told them his brother was a cop too. Thinking he was smarter than the Po Po...that Ross!

This is my first post. I have lots to say :peace: but I'll start with CH's car seat... He was definitely too big for the infant seat that he was riding in and the fact that he was in a different seat in JRH's car up until two week's before says a lot. The fact that the straps are on the smallest setting doesn't mean it was done on purpose though, it's simple misuse of a car seat, as already stated, 3 in 4 car seats are used incorrectly. The belt is adjustable no matter which slot it comes out of, and they are a pain to readjust as your child grows so there are parents that just keep pulling the straps out through the slots made for infants, they can still be loose, they just don't offer proper support in an accident. If the autopsy shows significant marks at CH's shoulders, thighs, hips and chest where the belt hit him, that would show cause that he was buckled in too tightly.

IIRC JRH said he strapped Cooper in the car tightly and gave him a kiss (LE said the straps on the car seat were at the lowest setting) ;)

Too bad that so many viewers, including myself, were deeply disturbed by the 30 seconds and this 30 seconds influenced my perception of RH's guilt.

Look, I don't like witnesses who play around with facts and treat them like they don't have an absolute relationship to reality. Time on a video camera is absolute- not relative. Common sense is not exaggerating on the witness stand. I, too, hope this prevails.

So if you hadn't read the AJC article with Baygents interview, you would still believe RH guilty?

Can I ask why you believed a sworn in, under oath Det Stoddard on July 3, but now believe the half brother of the defendant who has an agenda and a random reporter from the AJC who wants to sell papers?

I'm just wondering how you got from there to here.

However, to take the word of a journalist and a brother of a suspect over the word of LE that is testifying under oath is IMO beyond idiotic. But then that's just me
.

 indeed

What reason would LE have to lie under oath about information that is able to be verified beyond any doubt?

None.

What reason would a news agency have to lie about information that is easily verifiable?

$$$$$$ Note that story was not fully available unless you paid.

What reason would JRH's brother have to lie about information that is easily verifiable?

To create doubt. To attempt to save his brother.

It's not unusual to sit in your car for any time period after you park. What would be unusual is being in there for 15 seconds and not noticing there's still a little one in the car with you. Or sitting in there 30 seconds not noticing. Or not noticing when you open the car door 3 hours later to put something inside. Or not noticing when you enter the car ~7 hours later, particularly when your child has likely been deceased inside the vehicle for at least 4 hours and temperatures inside the car probably reached at least 120 degrees.

That's what's not normal.

STODDARD: Justin took Cooper out to the car. He went into the back seat where the car seat was situated. It's a rear-facing car seat so Cooper's head would be in between or almost in between the two front seats. He put Cooper in the vehicle. He stated he strapped him in tight. He went through a little spiel about how he'd watched You Tube videos about, you know, car seat regulations and stuff, and he knew that this was the right car seat and the right way of doing it. And he straps him in tight. And Cooper gives him a kiss. And he gives him a kiss back. And he says he always gives him the kiss in case they get into a car accident and he dies. He wanted Cooper to, you know, his last memory or Cooper to remember that he had been loved or that his daddy loved him.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: So he straps him in before driving away, and kissing him, son's kissing him back, they're having a conversation?

STODDARD: That's correct.

BBM: Doesn't LH own her own cellphone? Why not call her directly? I just don't see the point of calling Daycare but it really isn't a big point, all things considered.
When determining if someone is just a grieving father or complicent in his child's death, we look at behavior. This is not about judging a person's character or saying we like or don't like someone. We are analyzing and seeking truth. We want justice for this baby who is a victim; especially if it is something beyond negligence.

And I agree, we have only small bits of info as you have said. I think there will be a full forensic analysis of his computer, phone, SM, texts, sexts, financials, videos, surveillance, medication history, psych evals (if any), etc, etc.

Det Stoddard testified at the PCH that RH made 3 phone calls. 1, to LH, 2, to HD and 3, to daycare toddler room 5
