Small Details that are interesting in the Cooper Harris case, #2

Don't know where to put this question, but here goes.

Does anyone know if Cooper has gotten his head stone yet?

Yes, but all such deaths are ruled homicide. Homicide simply means at the hands of another; negligent, accidental or otherwise. I will be following that case as well. It will be interesting to see if the parent in that case is similarly charged (he hasn't been that I've seen).

They say of similar cases, the responsible adult is charged with 'murder' only 50% of the time.

The father in this case, Kyle Seitz, drove 20 minutes to the hospital after finding his son in the car. He didn't call 911, he didn't scream for help, or run inside his son's daycare he was parked outside of. He got back in his car and drove 20 minutes to a hospital and never called the police. He drove 20 minutes with his son still strapped in his car seat after he found him. I wish they'd start putting all these "parents" in prison!

Shouldn't we be hearing something about the grand jury soon?

The fate of Justin Ross Harris is in the hands of Cobb County grand jurors.

A person with direct knowledge of the case confirmed that prosecutors will present evidence in the death of 22-month-old Cooper Harris to the grand jury this morning. Chief felony prosecutor Chuck Boring entered the grand jury room shortly after 9 a.m.

My newest small detail is no small detail.

The grand jury decision to indict was interesting in that they charged him with greater charges than those that he was previously held on. There must have been pretty compelling evidence to make the GJ not only hit JRH with charges but up the stakes like that. JMO

Wonder how LH is feeling today? If RH decides this is real and he might be going down, he might be ready to talk.

If I were in his shoes (and I never would be) I would. JMO but I think it was her idea. If I were him I'd tell that. She (Leanna) is no little mouse who follows her leader. Sorry had to get that off my chest. Rant over.

Not sure if this was already posted:

Hot Car Case Update: Cobb DA has Received Some Evidence from Police
August 29, 2014

Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds said his office has received some—but not all—of the evidence from the police in the case of Justin Ross Harris, the father being held without bond in the death of his toddler in a hot car on June 18.
"We've been reviewing evidence as we get it," Reynolds said Friday.
"We're nearing the September 18 date," Reynolds said, noting that under Georgia law a defendant cannot be held without bond for more than 90 days from the arrest date without being indicted. "I'm not wed to that date. I'm not going to let time determine what we do," Reynolds said, adding he generally instructs his team to "indict when you're ready to try the case."
But the D.A. also said the 90-day time frame is generally his goal. He said he found as a defense attorney before taking the D.A. job that when he won acquittals for clients, it was often when the state had delayed indicting the case.

Too me there is a lot of evidence that JH killed Cooper on purpose so I'm glad the GJ thinks so too.. :happydance: Does anyone know when a trial date is set? I haven't been able to read everything (yet).. :)
