I keep coming back to him saying he thought Cooper was choking. Which is so absurd I think it could be the small detail that does him in. What possible rationale could he come up with to explain why he would think that?

OT but Sorrell Skye, "gag me with a spoon", that is a blast from the past! Where did that even originate from (I mean I understand the meaning but who made it into a common-at that time- expression)? :hilarious:

Valley girls. lol

Midori: BBM: First, are you clearly ("let me be clear") saying he DID or DID NOT do it intentionally?
Second, While I admire your honesty in admitting leaving your baby in the car for a few minutes, huge differences ring clear to me between you & RH:
You have 5 children (five. five). Your children have a significant age range. You have stress in managing it.
RH has 1 (one, one) child. Did I say one enough times?
He has no significant stressors juggling children of varying ages.
Big difference in my book,

moo

I believe with all I have that the monster left his son on purpose, and it sickens me. I agree that he did NOT forget his son as he claims. The only reason I was providing my examples of what I had done is because the two people right before my post were saying they cannot believe anyone who ever says they forgot their child in the car. I believe RH is a monster, but I don't believe that's necessarily true about every parent whose child dies in a hot car. I truly believe some of them are accidents. Accidents they will never ever forgive themselves for.

I think he got the idea about the choking when he dropped off the lightbulbs. Perhaps Cooper was choking or making some other noises at that time which startled RH, and in the midst of the parking lot scene, the words about choking tumbled out. Just a theory and JMO.

I think he was trying to make it appear that he was alive in the drive from work to the scene. IMO he yelled that he was choking as he exited the car. Once he grabbed Cooper and realized he was stiff, that all flew out the window.
People may have tried to give him CPR, but I don't see how. His tongue was so swollen it was sticking out of his mouth, his jaw was ckamped shut and his airway would have been occluded.

Saying he was choking was because he was in CYA mode. moo

I hope this did not happen. It is definitely a possibility. If this is what happened, he is more of a monster than I had imagined. I think some people are having a hard time believing any father could harm his own child (or any other child) and are looking for any imaginable one in a million possibility/scenero to say this is not possibly true. There are too many unusual, unexplainable actions/conversations from RH that makes me think he is definitely guilty from the evidence presented at the PCH. If it were one action or conversation that was unusual or strange, I might give him the benefit of the doubt. But there is too much evidence! Until the HD security video is shown in court, if it goes to trial, I believe the LE more than the AJC.

Maybe this is farfetched, but I can’t help but think that the situations in Israel/Gaza and Russia/Ukraine play a part in the decreasing of CNN’s coverage of this case. Of course there is nothing happening right now, but I think if CNN didn’t have two major volatile world events that are very hot right now, they would still be dedicating a lot of airtime to Cooper. We know they are capable of creating news when there is none, as we saw with MH370. They were writing plenty of commentary and opinion pieces regarding this case too. I think that if Israel hadn’t invaded Gaza, and MH17 hadn’t crashed in Ukraine, CNN would have made this the top story of the summer, especially because of their HQ being in Atlanta.

The last time they covered the case online was July 15, on TV was July 16. MH17 crashed on July 17, and Israel invaded Gaza that same day. Maybe it is just a coincidence. It is just noticeable that they were reporting on the case every day, and then it just completely stopped. No coverage of the AJC article.

(Only talking about CNN here, not HLN).

I don't know if this small detail has ever been brought up, but I was thinking last night about parents having to take things like diapers, an extra suit of clothes, and things like that to daycare each day. Does anyone know if LAA daycare provided all the things a baby would need throughout the day, or did RH have a bag of diapers and things Cooper would need at daycare that day in his car? If he didn't, and those things aren't needed at this particular daycare, then I would say this indicates he never intended to take Cooper to daycare that day. The only 2 daycare facilities I have any personal knowledge of requires the parents to bring diapers, extra clothing, and sometimes lunch & a snack for their child, but LAA might be different. JMO

Yes. My 4 yr old granddaughter and 26 mo old grandson each take a bag to Montessori each morning and bring their bags home in the evenings. Each child's bag contains extra clothing, several outfits for the 26 mo old. Mom and Dad look thru the bags for any announcement/info sheets and to see if the extra clothing needs to be replaced. For the 26 mo old, there is a daily sheet that checks off what he did during the day and what he ate for lunch and snacks. For the 26 mo old, diapers are only sent when requested. His class has a bin labeled for each child with pullups or diapers. The teachers let the parents/grandparents know when the supply is low by placing a note in the child's bag and by telling whoever picks the child up. Hubby and I pick the children up early most days so they will not have such a long day at school.

You could leave a bag with their belongings at the daycare if you wanted to.

BBM - have you been reading about the FSU law professor? That is very interesting to me - his name is Dan Markel in case you aren't familiar with it. Just something else to read about while we wait for news here. And there are less than 10 pages so far - easy to get "up to speed".

Gah, read through that now... Frightening!

No rock hiding allowed!

BBM, we have forums here with those same names.:rocker:

I'll try my best to stay out from under rocks. :peace:

I've never been one to shelter my kids from life's truths, though I wouldn't hand them a true crime novel or anything, I'm having mixed feelings about my older kids knowing information about this case. Just my random thought of the day. (My 12 year old pointed out a Hyundai Tuscon in the Walmart parking lot today and yesterday, she saw a man and pointed out that she thought he looked like JRH.)

Sorry- not able to get the danged thing to quote, but responding to gngr~snap above, I completely agree he was trying to do a CYA but I can't imagine how, after driving with the windows up, and the smell noticed hours later, he could have ever imagined this was a possible explanation that would fly. If this was pre-meditated, and I believe it was based on his internet searches, he must really be one dumb bunny.

He has manipulated people his whole life. His friends and family have clearly enabled him along the way. He tried wailing, then he tried to bully a woman and be a tough guy hoping another officer would come to his aid and when that didn't work he tried to play like one of the men in blue by identifying with them by throwing the lingo he knew out there , lastly he tried to play on their sympathy by stating he watched a show about a parent just like him hot car accident and my worst fear came true.

All he did was dig a deeper hole. LH knew him well. D@mn right he said too much.

Yes, sometimes they do conspire--there are too many people in prison right now because of inept--both intentional and unintentional--law enforcement investigations and interpretations. Not saying all cops are bad cops, but please avoid blind faith with them.

http://www.innocenceproject.org/understand/Government-Misconduct.php

I have to say that the innocent people in prison is not something I would lay largely on the cops. They arrest and give over the evidence. Yes there are some bad ones who just make stuff up but as a rule I lay this on prosecutors who are too zealous to convict and just ignore the truth.
