Small plane and Liberty Tours helicopter collide over Hudson River

From this link:

On Sunday morning, divers recovered a torso stuffed in the fuselage of the helicopter wreckage, two law enforcement officials told The Associated Press.

Does anyone else think the wording of this sounds odd? At first I just thought it was the reporting, but I have seen the same "quote" in multiple sources.

They've since edited the word "stuffed" out of the story, thank goodness. It was an odd wording.

Also from that same story was some info on the victims... so sad :(

"One of the Italian victims was a husband celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary, a family friend said. His wife had stayed behind because she was afraid of flying, but their 16-year-old son was in the helicopter.
The five tourists were from the Bologna, Italy, area: Michele Norelli, 51; his son Filippo Norelli, 16; Fabio Gallazzi, 49; his wife, Tiziana Pedroni, 44; and their son Giacomo Gallazzi, 15.

Wow, I wonder who they are still searching for :(
How sad for their families as they not only have to deal with this horrible loss but now they have to wait to find out who has been found and in what condition.

I read the pilot of the helicopter was planning his wedding :(

I also saw a few pictures where i swear they were pulling a body out of the water. I was kind of shocked that those were published!

This accident is so tragic and senseless.

I am saying prayers for the surviving family members.

I am on the 28th floor facing the Hudson and all day long I see helicopters flying over the river. I rarely see planes though. I thought it was restricted airspace?

Transcript: Controller joked about cooking cat

WASHINGTON - An air traffic controller was joking on the phone about barbecuing a dead cat minutes before a small plane collided with a tour helicopter over New York City's Hudson River, transcripts obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press show.

Nine people — three members of a Pennsylvania family in the plane and five Italian tourists and a pilot in the helicopter — died in the Aug. 8 accident.
