I had that type of hairdryer when I was in high school/college - before there were hand-held blow dryers. You could probably find a bonnet hair dryer that comes in its own carrying case at a garage/yard sale :D

Perseverance paid off. She spotted an orange tabby on a missing pets Facebook page who just happened to have that unique characteristic, a broken tail.

Apparently, the curious cat had been living outside a dentist’s office for all those years. Staff kept him well fed and patients always looking for the friendly feline they simply called “Orange Kitty.”

But how to get Charlie 900 miles from South Carolina to New York while Ashley was under quarantine? Michael Morgan and his pet transport business stepped in.

“It was certainly an honor for my company to be involved in this reunion,” said Morgan. “It blew me away they were actually able to find the cat and get it returned to her.”

Name That Song
The clever neighbor needed some extra cash, so he tells his friend: “I know almost every song that has ever been written.” The friend laughs at this, but the neighbor says, “I am willing to bet you $50 that I can sing a song that you have heard of with the lady’s name of your choice in it.”

“Deal,” says the neighbor, adding, “How about my mother’s name, Felicity Jane Ashley?” And so he sang the song and earned $50.

What song did he sing?

Me too. I wish I still had it. I used to sit in front of a fan in the morning to dry my hair. Then I would iron my hair so it would look like Cher’s. I only sizzled it once. I was much more careful after that.

Check out this YouTube if you get the chance. It made me smile and get out of my covid capitol riot missing kid headspace.

True about cats.jpg

The second one is so true about our rescue cat.
Very aloof.
He allows us to pat and brush him now, so that's nice.

Hard to read the text in Florida and Texas. When I enlarge, it doesn't help.... "Hoth" is Hot, I assume. ;) :)

Whoops, Hoth is the ice planet in the Star Wars universe. There is a rebel base, Luke nearly dies outdoors (of course ) and Han saves him (of course.)

Tatooine is all sandy, Uncle Owen farms water.

I live with Star Wars fans. Made a brown flannel bathrobe for my son, his Jedi Robe.

For his 5th birthday, I made a cake for his family birthday. Topped said cake with Star Wars figures including JarJar Binks.

Arranged them walking across the 'planet's' surface, old-fashioned "gravy frosting" made butterscotch flavor, a beautiful sand color, contours & hills created by baking some of the batter in bowls, some in cupcake pans.

After our guests left, my son whispered "Mommy I love my Tatooine cake but JarJar doesn't live there."

Imagine my intergalactic embarrassment! JarJar Binks lives under water on NaBoo, I now know.

Hhmm, might get out my Millenium Falcon cookie cutter this weekend, send some off to that little boy.

He now works in engineering design of jet planes!

There's another story about the Jedi bathrobe, saving that for another day.

May The Force be with you!

I found Facebook quite amusing today. I am especially enjoying the lack of political memes lately.

Oh, that cake sounds wonderful! That is so cute how your son corrected you about JarJar.
