So... where is Lee?

What was it that LA did to KC's computer when he went to AL's apt to pick stuff up? Did he attempt to clear out the hard drive?? I can't remember.

Who destroys a key?
In my enitre life I have never heard of anyone doing that.
Is there any one thing this family does that is normal?
:bang:

Someone who had tampered with evidence in the car that this key went to might want to destroy it, later deny its existence, refute that KC ever had access to and possession of said key, as his mom says, "there is no evidence.":waitasec:

I have numerous times counted my blessings that I have NEVER had any contact at all with this family. Other than the countless hours I spend obsessed with this case....LOL

It scares me that people like this are out there in society. :chicken:

Extremely frightening, isn't it??

Is that computer the same one that has all of the incriminating searches on it? I know they keep saying that the computer was the one from the "Anthony's home", but didn't that lap top that Lee picked up belong to Cindy/the Anthony Family?

Yes, he said it had the blue screen of death. :waitasec:

Interesting timing that it just happened to occur at that point in time, don't you think? There is something going on with that, but I've yet to figure it out.

Casey was (according to Tony L) working on her laptop at the moment Cindy and Amy knocked on his apartment door. Casey then left, leaving the laptop behind. But yet when Lee came a little later to retrieve the laptop it had the blue screen of death?

What happened between the time Casey was working on it, and Lee picking it up? Did Lee do something to create the blue screen of death, or was he lying about it? And if he was, what exactly was he trying to cover up for Casey?? It would mean to me he knows a LOT more about his little sister than he's admitted so far.

Transcribed at link above.

LEE: Where did you get this phone from? Like how was it provided to you?
CASEY: Through the AT&T Store, god, what road? It’s the bottom left side of town kind of near where the mall and stuff is.
LEE: Was this a phone, is this another personal cell phone of yours?
CASEY: Yes.
LEE: Ok, so tell me. So if you lost the physical phone itself, aside from searching for it, how would you go about finding this? How should I go about finding your phone?

Entire call

R. Grund said (I think on his blog) he gave Casey a phone, but I'm not sure what type it was.

Very possible.

There is a witness on the prosecution list from a car repair shop, isn't there? Hopefully we will find out more about whether there is a 2nd stinking car.

I'd also like to find out where Lee was for 2.5 hours that night.

Respectfully snipped.
I think there must be a second stinking car, as KC's car had been abandoned prior to meeting WW, and was in the towing facility during the time they spent together until the day before she got arrested.

I think the reason LA laughs while talking about the smell of KC's car in the garage the night of July 15th and makes the statement that it was the "first time he had smelled it" is because he smelled decomp for the "second time" in AH's car when he found it in TL's parking lot somewhere bottom left later that night or early the next morning.

This is interesting. I did not know that TL was working on Casey's computer, when Cindy arrived. Very early in the case Cindy was on Greta going through the night the police arrived; explaining how she was speaking to the police blah blah, and Greta asked where was Casey? Cindy said she went back on the computer to send out more messages, or something like that. It was always my opinion that Casey went into her computer at TL by remote access from her mothers computer and deleted files.

TL said that Casey was playing on the computer at his apt while he and his roommate (?) were playing a video game, waiting for the All-Star game to come on TV.

That computer was left at TL's when Cindy dragged Casey home, and Lee reported the 'blue screen of death' when he went over to Tony's a couple of hours later to pick it up.

Casey and her mother went online the following morning after Casey had been dropped off by the police following the ZFG wild goose chase. Do we know if the computer they were using is the same one that was retrieved from Tony's apartment?

Could they have been working from the laptop if it had the blue screen of death the night before? I don't think that's something that could be fixed that quickly, if at all, and probably certainly NOT by Casey or Cindy. And why would they waste that time trying to repair the laptop that morning when they have the other computer?

There's something going on with this whole story. Lee obviously knows SOMETHING about the things Casey had on that laptop. Either he lied about the blue screen of death, or he did something to the laptop after he picked it up. But why??? Did he know there was something on there that would land Casey in jail?? If so, WHAT exactly did he know??

Makes me think of Casey telling that Marine in California that she had something really important/shocking to tell him, and her mother and brother already knew what it was.

I think it depends on what caused the BSOD - it might have been a problem that was cleared by rebooting.

Janis396 - Did you notice that CA sent KC text messages after they picked up the Ponitac? 2 of them, can't remember what they said, something to the effect of "call me, we have a problem". Now, I don't know about you, but that would be a big red flag for me if I hadn't talked to my mother for about a month. There was a major time lag between these text messages and when her mother came to get her with AH. Plenty of time and forwarning to delete anything you want and arrange for a BSOD. :waitasec: When you add AL stating that KC was "working" (as though she has any idea what that means) on her computer just before CA came to get her....................bingo!

Did TonE mention in his interviews why the laptop had the BSOD? I know KC was using it when CA came to the apartment to speak with her.

I can't keep all of the facts straight in this case!

Hmmm, that's a possibility. But, I don't know if Casey would have reacted so strongly to those text messages from Cindy. Cindy had been trying repeatedly to get Casey to return her call/text for the past few days/weeks, and Casey pretty much ignored her. So getting a text that says "Call me asap, big problem" could have just been her mom's way of trying to pretend something was going on just to get Casey to call. Because if that's what it was, then Casey would have just crashed her laptop for nothing. Would she have chanced that, knowing how addicted she was to that laptop?

It's just another interesting and strange twist in this case that doesn't seem to have an readily explainable answer.

Thanks Diane, that's how I recall it went too; Casey on computer, the boys playing video games.

It was the HP at Cindy's house, they were using, and I thought for sure it was the same night the police came, they set up the myspace, not the next morning. Or maybe it was, since it could have been after midnight.

My thought was Casey used the remote service access from her mothers computer, to go into her computer that was at TL to delete files. I'm not sure I'm explaining this right, but this can be done on xp computers. I'm sure Casey would know how to do this. JMO.

EXCEPT--Casey had to have known the car was towed from Amscot and it was a matter of time before her parents found out because the car was in their name. Upon reading, "big problem," I think she went into cover up mode. She wasn't planning on Amy bringing Cindy to the apt, but what else would "big problem" mean to Casey when received from her mother? Cindy knew something and the walls were closing in.....

"Call me, we have a problem." is a strange message to send to someone who you can't find when you just picked her abandoned car up from the tow yard and it "smells like there's been a dead body in the damned car". Don't ya think?

I could see "call me, I just picked up your car" or "call me, we need to talk" or "call me, I have a problem with the fact that I just had to pick up your car" or even "call me, something is wrong with (fill in the blank)" any thing to get her to call you but "we have a problem". The only person that should have had a problem at that point was CA and GA with KC for leaving the car and getting it towed and having it smell to high heavens but "WE" did not have a "Problem". Over inclusion (WE) and understatement (problem).

This was more than a little problem.
