So you can set your water on fire, what's the big fracking deal?

I get sick to my stomach whenever I see a commercial for fracking that calls it "safe and proven" I think it's neither. I wonder what caused the sharp increase in earthquakes since they've started fracking in that area? :waitasec:

Wow, this is a really controversial issue in the UK at the moment, but I hadn't heard a thing about firewater. This news is sure to stir things up even more over there.

'Natalie Hynde, convicted on Monday after supergluing herself to a fellow anti-fracking protestor, says more people should stand up against the risks'

http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/feb/26/natalie-hynde-ban-fracking-uk-protest-balcombe

In the video where the guy lights his water on fire the fracking company is shipping in fresh drinking water. I wonder how they shower though. I wouldn't want to bath in lighter fluid.

Here in PA fracking is all around me, most of the beautiful farmlands are being cleared and ugly piping is being laid. Huge drills coming in and I fear for the water table. We can hear the small dynamite??? blasts ...........

That UK protester who superglued herself to someone...

I'm not being funny - well, I suppose I am - but lighter fluid's probably one of the few things that can get superglue off fingers/flesh stuck together.

Not that I ever did anything that stoopid. Of course.

ETA: I haven't thoroughly read up on this subject, but I wouldn't want fracking near me. So I wouldn't want it near anyone else either.

BBM

It's amazing to me how few people actually have that level of empathy for others.
