A military investigation has found that a Beaver County solider who was died in Iraq was not killed by enemy fire.

Dylan Paytas, 20, from Freedom, was shot and killed last month North of Baghdad.

The military has classified his death as “non-combat” or “non-hostile.”

This is so sad, I feel terrible for this young man's family. It's bad enough to lose a son in combat, but to know that he was killed by "friendly fire" has to make it so much worse.

This just serves as a reminder of what our brave young people face daily as they serve our country. They certainly deserve our respect and support.
