CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WKRC) - A son allegedly murdered his mother after months of abuses that were reported to the police, including an incident in which he cut the power to her home and left her immobile in a powered recliner.
Cape Coral police were dispatched to a residence at around 1:25 p.m. on September 16 after a person called 911 to report that they discovered their mother's body inside her home, per a news release. The caller said that family members were unable to reach the woman for a worrying amount of time, so they drove to her house and found "bloody foot prints" that led them to the body of 69-year-old Rosemary Johnson. The victim reportedly had "a significant number of stab wounds to her head and neck."
