Please excuse my total ignorance in this matter and am quite happy to learn - does this relate to the oedipus and ophelia complex ?

No definitely not. It relates to sexual development and how your first experiences are very important to healthy sexual development. However, if they are abusive or unhealthy, you can become fixated on this and it becomes how you prefer to be aroused later in life unless you seek counselling/therapy. It's like an addiction.

Tongo says he and Anni Dewani spoke, but not a lot - "not really". "I only spoke to her three times".

Tongo: I spoke to her when they were introduced and in the motor vehicle.

Riley: The person you saw with Mr. Dewani. Did you know that person? Tongo: No.

Leigh-Anne Jansen ‏@LA_JANSEN 30s30 seconds ago

Riley: Why not? Was it not the same as the person on the Friday? Tongo: No, they did not look the same.

Riley: What was the difference? Tongo: The one I was introduced to, she was dressed casually.

Tongo: But the one of Saturday was a different one. Her condition was not the same.

Riley: Who did you think that person was? Tongo: His business partner.

Riley: Can you indicate to the court what happened when you arrived there?

Murmurs in the courtroom, people surprised that Tongo would think the woman he met on Fri and Sat were different people.

Tongo: We arrived. Me & the gentleman walked in front. The female walked behind. He was asking me what happened.

Lyndon Khan ‏@LyndonKhan 42s42 seconds ago

Riley asks what happened after arrival at restaurant in Somerset West. Tongo says he was talking to Dewani 'softly'.

News24 ‏@News24 29s29 seconds ago

Tongo says woman at airport on Fri dressed casually, woman on Saturday different, dressed smartly. Defence will pounce on this.

Tongo: We were speaking softly. I gave him an answer that the young men are saying they got delayed.

Tongo: But they are going to wait for me in Gugulethu.

Tongo: He (SD) said I must make sure that everything is going well.

Even Anni #Dewani's family manage a smile at translator's weird pronunciation of young men as young "mun". Rare light moment.

Tongo: I just took them in, but didn't enter the restaurant.

Tongo: I went back to the car and went to the garage (petrol station), filled the car with petrol & bought airtime.

Tongo: I contacted the men but they told me they can't met there because it's "wet", meaning lots of police around.

Lyndon Khan ‏@LyndonKhan 46s46 seconds ago

Tongo says he left. I told hijackers not to come there (Somerset West ) as there were police officers.

Tongo: There was communication. The gentleman called me. He wanted to know whether I spoke to the young men.

EWN Reporter ‏@ewnreporter 2m2 minutes ago

The translator keeps pronouncing the word "men" as "mun" evoking giggles from the gallery every time.

Tongo: I said to him I spoke to them. Everything is still in time, meaning everything is still going to happen.
