The affidavit was commissioned on 12 June 2017. She confirms the correctness

The court sees copies of the subpoenas which Cell C received

The billing of a number ending 3598 was supplied by Cell C. Hilda is asked to take the court through the billing

A spreadsheet of the billing shows the date & time that calls are made or received

It also shows incoming or outgoing SMSes, as well as Internet use. One can also see the duration of the various calls.

If I make a call, how does it work that I pick up one tower & not another? "It will normally be the tower closest, with a dominant signal"

Up until Feb 2016, she was with the SAPS, attached to the Hawks. 15 yrs experience in the analysis & profiling of criminal data

Botha prepared a portfolio of her past cases, where she testified successfully & was commended by the prosecutor or judge

Botha is asked to take the court through the report she prepared from the cellphone evidence supplied to her by the mobile networks

TP now argues that Botha is not a cellphone expert. Chetty allows Botha to proceed. MS asks to be seated while Botha leads her evidence

Botha looked at the individuals identified & how they were associated with each other

Jayde worked at Riebeek College in Uitenhage. Jayde communicated with her friend Cherise Swanepoel. Jayde also visited their family farm

Botha is showing how Jayde's cellphone connected to the various towers, enabling her to paint a picture of Jayde's life

Several calls were made between CP & Mawonga. Followed by calls between Mawonga & LS

We look at Happy Trigger. He was allegedly the first to be approached to carry out the hit. His contact details were saved on LS's phone

Khusta is an acquaintance of Sizwe Vumazonke & Zolani Sibeko

We now turn to SV. He was an associate of LS & the two communicated via Facebook with regards to the details of Jayde's vehicle

The place where Jayde's body was found was exactly 4.1km from SV's residence. The area where she was shot connects to KwaNobuhle tower

Price objects he is perturbed by this evidence and says TB is biased. (Because she refers to Chris and not Chris' phone)

TB says reason this is significant because Vumazonke and Chris made contact with same person. Price says they are cousins

Price says none of this is relevant. Judge says he will decide what is relevant or not.

Price knows CP is guilty yet trying every dirty trick in the book to get him off. I feel Adv Botha is in the same mold.
If LE can keep up good standards of practice and protocol in bringing an accused to justice, men like Price and Botha will have to change tact, all they're doing is wasting precious court time and look foolish in the process. The old days are gone maties!!

He really is gross. Surely he could have gone to her place, but to bring her into the home really is the pits. She'll no doubt take a lot of flak now that that's out in the public domain.

I'm not liking that at all. I wonder if police asked them to explain.
