He says the words were as he understood it. Malan is Afrikaans speaking.

Henri said the suspect slightly taller than him, Botha says, but Malan entered that the suspect was 1.86m tall.

Malan maintains that this is what Henri told him.

Botha says Malan's verson is not correct in terms of what Henri told him.

Where the statement refers to specific times, he didn't give times and that Benecke had asked him about times by estimating, Botha says.

Botha says Henri told Benecke of a second person, but that this hadn't been included in his statement.

I'm still going over it to date but just a question or something GALLOWAY for the state should have taken this further ........ the axe had NO prints on ............ and Henri was the last person to touch it - he apparently threw it at attacker .... then its only HE that could have wiped it off - or had gloves...........

Henri you are in big trouble. You never mentioned a second intruder. Hahaha. There is no way Malan would have missed the part about Henri hearing angry voices speaking in Afrikaans. No way jose. Botha you can try to make Malan out to be a liar but this is obviously a Henri after-thought, when he remembered the neighbours may have heard the arguing.

There is no other explanation for having to have a second intruder, who had no part in anything else, and never touched any valuables in the house.

I have just had another thought, ridiculous as it may seem. I can see HvB saying whilst he was unconscious the intruder must have come back and wiped the handle clean or even that the police must have done it. I somehow think he will have an excuse. I am hoping Desai won't entertain any such rubbish, whatever it may be.
