Exactly...oh that Mel Gibson one if just so insanely rude! I cry over myself laughing every time. Did you ever watch the Southpark movie ( a musical!) where Satan's lover is Saddam Hussein...and we attack Canada? Priceless!
priceless is right.
These guys have sophisticated potty humor. LOL. How's that for an oxymoron?

LOL - and so true - other people poked at in the Hell of Earth episode: Hollywood, Biggie Smalls, Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, ferarri, acura, P Diddy, Catholic priests, Satan and his minions, wealthy teenage girls, MTV video parties...just to name a few
Don't forget Princess Di was at the party too dressed as Lara Croft, tomb raider and Hilter as the "can you hear me now" verizon guy.

Another of my favorite humorists is an author named Dave Sedaris and he deals with highbrow scatalogical (and other politically incorrect) topics as well...what does that say about me that I am attracted to sophisticated potty humor!??

Oh Lord - I had forgotten those two! Hilarious...and the serial killers as the three stooges. There's so much there I probably missed most of it...

I am an addict! He just makes me laugh until my stomach hurts. My husband and I saw him a few weeks ago for the first time at a reading in Atlanta - it was the first time I had ever heard him read anything and it was terrific.

I picked up one of his books out of the blue randomly at a bookstore for a trip a couple years ago. It's the one with the boxer shorts on the front, name escapes me. It was so crazy. I ate it up and then some.

NAKED! It might be my favorite of all his books...though it's hard to choose one for me. I think I stumbled onto him accidentally on an airport trip as well. I don;t get to read as much as I'd like these days..

I guess I have to partly take back what I said about South Park, because although I generally am not impressed with the show, and don't even find it very funny, I almost peed my pants watching the Tom Cruise/John Travolta/Scientology episode, and although it was in incredibly poor taste, I did laugh at the Michael Jackson episode, as well. I never even watch the show, but somehow I managed to catch these episodes. And seeing Cartman in drag is ALWAYS funny. I will say this for the show - it doesn't discriminate - it offends EVERYBODY.:twocents:

That's it. This was an accidental find for me as well. I have found some of my favorite authors this way. I have had better luck with random book choices, ie ,I liked the cover, than with recommendations.
I remember I had Naked with me on this trip. I know this really....let's see, I'll call her snooty...., I know this really snooty lady at my destination. She looked at that book and said. "Oh Jbean, I cannot believe you read those harlequinn romance, soap opera type books. that book is just not up to my level."or something to that effect.
I thought OMG you are such an arse. I just told her it was one of my weaknesses. lol! Harlequinn Romance LMAO!

Equal Opportunity Offenders.

even though they DO go way too far sometimes in terms of taste, or they are disgusting or rely on potty humor too much (which i hate)... they do capture and satire so many of our society's hypocrisies and absurdities better than any show out there. much of what SP is saying NEEDS to be said!

however.. i caught a few moments of last night's episode and couldn't watch it. i didn't really see the point of that one except that they were lampooning everyone making a saint out of steve irwin,, which people tend to do when someone dies. but geez,,, that was harsh.
it was funny to see satan dressed up in a little schoolgirl outfit though!

I know I say this all the time, but I will never understand how people can get riled up over a book, movie, tv show, artwork, etc. if they have never actually seen the so-called offensive piece and determined their own opinion. I just watched the episode last night and couldn't stop laughing. They were mocking that RIDICULOUS show on MTV My Super Sweet 16 (think that is the name). If anyone has ever seen that show on MTV, you know it was ripe for mocking. I thoughf Satan was supposed to be Britney Spears from her Hit Me Baby One More Time video.

As for South Park, I don't know if I find it more funny or sad that some people are getting so upset over them including Steve Irwin's untimely death, when Jesus has been constant parody since South Park started.

Say what you will about South Park, but at least they are equal opportunity offenders.

speaking of South Park, did anyone see the movie "Team America - World Police"?....it was by the creators of South Park...i've never really gotten into South Park all that much, but Team America is a craaaaazy movie...the characters are puppets, & it's hilarious....i rented it right after it came out on video, & it's been on Showtime recently, so i couldn't help but watch it again....
