I've been sitting on my fingers since the first mention of the two year old. I don't know why but it didn't ring true from the very start.

Has there been proof the child actually existed??

OBE, do you have a link to the article with this info on the missing 2 year old? The link in your post does not work. [never mind ... I found it using the title of the article you posted. http://www.walb.com/story/34391995/gbi-searches-former-home-of-parents-of-missing-dougherty-co-child ]

I think some of us were also beginning to wonder if the story was true. Do we know for sure they even had a 2 year old in their family? I suppose they do, since a name was given. But If they lied about that in order to get assistance of some sort I would be mighty upset, but I would feel better than what I am actually worried may have happened.

Do we want to start a separate thread for the missing youngster, Detraz Green?

Since the GBI is now investigating Detraz' case I doubt we will get very little information since they are very tight lipped about any of their investigations. I would assume he really does/did exist because there would be a legal birth certificate on file.

What they dont seem to believe is he was a tornado victim. They will go back and find those who saw him and when he was last seen. There are rumors floating around the father has a criminal record.

I would like to know if DFC was ever involved concerning Detraz. So even though a thread was started for him here I highly doubt we will get much updated news about the status of his case.:(

I just feel they have harmed their little child and used this excuse to get away with it. Of course its just an unsupported feeling I have had for sometime now and nothing more. The GBI however only comes in on a case when they believe criminal wrongdoing has occurred.:(

Thank you for providing the correct link to the article for me.:)

OBE, there was a domestic abuse charge against the father 2 years ago... see the new thread for details. The search moved from the mobile home park where he was reported missing to the previous home yesterday. So far, no pictures of the little boy have been available by family ...? It is not looking good.

Thanks for starting the new thread, I sat on my fingers trying to restrain myself from doing the same [emoji22]

Thanks Purple, but we have los2188 to thank for starting the new thread. My only contribution was finding it.

This situation has bothered me since I first heard about it; I don't have a clue why but it smelled from beginning. I'll gladly eat crow if they find the poor child did die in the tornado.

I will join you, jax, if it turns out to be a result of the tornadoes :sheesh:
I cannot believe there is no info to be found on this child and his family life.

A Flash Flood Watch was issued for portions of southeastern Kentucky from Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon.

Viewers sent us photos from Harlan County showing high water as a result of the rain.
http://www.wymt.com/content/news/Re...-Kentucky-after-heavy-rainfall-420157613.html

The primary focus of this rain is in southern and southeastern Kentucky where they are currently under a Flash Flood Watch until 4:00PM Sunday. Some flooding was already seen yesterday in those mountainous regions, and is expected again today.

Highway 987 at Smith Rd. was shut down for a few hours.

Another road, Highway 421 in Cranks, also was shut down for a bit as water covered it.
