Droughts are depressing and kinda hard to write about. We've been stuck in Texas with a heat wave since June. It's just been awful. I have mature trees dying. It's always hot down here, but there is a huge difference between 97 and 103 degrees. Day in and day out of this takes a toll on the body.
The heat dome is now expanding further north. What's really scary is yesterday at 2:53 pm Topeka, KS had a temp of 100, with a dewpoint of 82. This gave a heat index of 121.
