Recovered/Located Spain - James Crawford, 50, Scottish Man on holiday in Fuengirola, 2 August 2018

James Crawford has gone missing while on holiday in Fuengirola, Spain, with his brother Michael and friends.

He was last seen leaving the Hotel Casa Consistorial at 8.45am on Thursday August 2, where he said he was going to the shop nearby and would be back to meet them at 9am in the hotelreception.

His family think he may have been wearing a black cap and carrying a small black Adidas rucksack.

This has been a tragic summer for several British tourists in Spain -six dead so far due to "balconing" , an English girl gang-raped by a group of fellow Englishmen, the police currently investigating another gang-rape in the same tourist complex and so many other horror stories- Let's just hope this Scottish man just got lost somehow and he will turn up safe at his hotel today.

Fuengirola in general is a safe place. There is quite a bit of Russian mafia -and Italian one as well- but fights/shootings occur among themselves, never affecting the local population or tourists.

I had to look up balconing. It wasn’t a thing when I lived there. Hopefully he just hooked up with some locals or other tourists and is out having fun.

THE family of a man who was reported missing on the Costa del Sol have said they are ‘eternally grateful’ for the help they received from expats in tracking him down.

Jim (James) Crawford had left the Hotel Casa Consistorial in Fuengirola at 8.45am on the morning of August 2 but, at the time his brother Michael said, “We are obviously very concerned as a family as this is very much out of character for Jim.

However, speaking exclusively to the Euro Weekly News this morning (Saturday) Michael confirmed, “We found Jim last night in Benalmadena.

“As a family, we are ecstatic but realise now Jim has a long road to go to recover mentally but he is safe with myself and my two brothers who flew out yesterday and we will take him home on Sunday night.
