Billy George, whose son John was killed in December, was detained this week accused of harassing a female connected to Johnny Smyth, a suspect charged in connection with the case
That was actually from some time ago now. The thing is his family have been mocked etc by JS supporters and indeed the woman in question and knowing my son had been abused and then stabbed and then shot I am not sure I could refrain myself. Likewise going to Portugal and not doing anything...just so the family could get justice.

Spanish article: Matan en Torrevieja a uno de los dos acusados del asesinato de un norirlandés en Rojales

Translation:

One of the two accused of the murder of a Northern Irishman in Rojales is killed in Torrevieja

Czech citizen Michael M. was on probation and a neighbour raised the alarm after seeing a person with a bloodied head.

One of the two Accused of the crime of the Northern Irishman John George, whose body was found on a lemon farm in Rojales in January 2025, was killed last weekend in Torrevieja after being shot at least once. The Homicide Team of the Civil Guard of Alicante has not made arrests for this new crime and keeps open all hypotheses about the authorship.

The Czech Michael M., 33, had been on provisional release since his arrest more than a year ago and on February 20 he was released again after a new appearance in the Torrevieja court investigating the crime of John George. Michael was the last person, in addition to the alleged perpetrator of the crime, to see John George alive on the night of December 14, 2024, when he disappeared, and declared that he was fighting with the alleged murderer, Jonathan S., according to the Civil Guard investigation.

The private prosecution exercised by John George's family requested his imprisonment after new evidence appeared that he incriminated in the murder, specifically the blood tests found on some license plates that the Civil Guard seized in Michael M.'s car, according to sources close to the case. The tests revealed that the blood belonged to Northern Irishman John George.

However, the Court of Instruction number 2 of Torrevieja, the same one that has assumed the crime of Michael M., agreed to maintain the same precautionary measures imposed at the time and refused to imprison this investigated. These measures, which he had complied with to date, consisted of appearances every 15 days in court, the withdrawal of his passport and the prohibition of leaving the national territory.

Sources close to the case have specified to this newspaper that the collaboration of Michael M. was important for the clarification of the disappearance of John George and the Discovery of his body hidden under a lemon tree.

The Czech citizen murdered this weekend dissociated himself from this crime after his arrest and said that his only link with the events was a recent relationship of friendship with the main investigated and that on one occasion he took John George to collect some personal effects at the house of Jonathan Alan S., considered the alleged murderer and then took the victim to a place in Rojales. There John and Jonathan got into a fight and Michael claims that he left. Shortly afterwards he saw Jonathan with traces of blood and told him that John had left for Benidorm.

Head injury

The murder of the Czech Michael M. occurred on Calle Pleamar in Torrevieja, in the Rocío del Mar urbanization, next to Punta Prima. A neighbour raised the alarm at about half past one in the morning last Sunday. He warned that there was a man lying on the ground with blood on his head on the public road, but apparently no one witnessed the crime.

A SAMU ambulance went to the scene and after attending to the victim transferred him to a hospital, where the death was confirmed. The Civil Guard notified the judicial commission and a thorough inspection was carried out in search of any clue about the perpetrator or perpetrators of the crime. The place where Michael M. was found murdered is one of the quietest residential areas of Torrevieja and is next to the sea.

After the violent death of Michael M., his compatriot and friend Jonathan Alan S., defended by the lawyer Francisco Miguel Galiana Botella and released on bail of 100,000 euros since last December, is investigated in the case for the crime of John George.

Terminology wise, worth mentioning the reference to neighbour in the Spanish article is more likely to mean a resident of the area and not necessarily a neighbour of Michael Maly.

The crime scene images in the article place Maly being found here Street View · Google Maps which is the beginning of the coastal footpath that links Punta Prima to Torrevieja.
