Fears are growing for a British mother-of-two who has been missing for a week from her home in Southern Spain.

She is reported to have vanished after accusing her partner of domestic violence.

Last night it emerged Rebecca vanished between reporting her partner to police for domestic violence and being summonsed to court the following day to ratify the complaint.

Officers discovered she was missing the day she was due in court.

Her children are now understood to be in the UK in the care of a close relative while her family and loved ones wait anxiously for news on her whereabouts.

Friend Stephanie Faye Dalrymple appealed for information on her whereabouts in a Facebook appeal overnight, saying: 'Rebecca has been missing for a week. She has no money, passport or clothes and her phone is dead.

Search intensifies for ‘missing’ mother, Rebecca Muldoon, on Costa del Sol

THE emergency services in Spain have intensified their search for a British mother-of-two who has not been seen for over a week.

National Police, Local Police, firefighters and members of the Civil Protection group have joined efforts to find 35-year-old Rebecca Muldoon who went missing from her Marbella home leaving her children alone.

A command post has been set up in the Camino del Pilar area to facilitate the coordination of the search groups.

A local walking along the sand at Oasis Beach, near Victor's Beach Bar which is popular with holidaymakers and expats, alerted emergency services just after 9am this morning.
Police sources have told local media they believe it could be missing Rebecca, 35, originally from Southend, Essex, because of the clothes the dead woman was wearing and her physical characteristics.

El Mundo -one of the top 3 newspapers in Spain, often providing accurate information- has published the same this morning. The article states the physical characteristics of the body found are those of Ms Muldoon but they have to carry out an autopsy to confirm if it is her.
