In the article posted by Itsreenw and SeriouslySearching the Post Chronicle is saying that when Drew and Stacy married, Drew was still married to Kathleen. But an article I saw the other day said the divorce was final 8 days before they married, though the property settlement wasn't final.

It is very sweet of Lisa's family to offer support. I am sure this disappearance is yet another reminder to them that Lisa has not been found and her husband is still walking around free.

Prosecutors have started re-examining Savio's case since Stacy Peterson's disappearance, and the department has paperwork from more than 15 different reports detailing alleged abusive behavior between Drew Peterson and Savio.

Bolingbrook police Chief Ray McGury plans to publicly discuss those reports later today.

I have been reading these articles where DP states she has mood disorders, ect. I have heard more than one abuser state the same thing. It seems to be some kind of a "mantra" for abusers.
If a woman lives with someone who is abusive, controlling and overbearing for four years she would be expected to act "emotional".
I know, been there and done that...
What's sad is that people who have never been abused have no idea of the dynamics of abuse and "buy into" the abusers BS.

No truer words have been spoken. Almost every case of a murdered woman is her husband/SO/ Ex-SO saying something along similar lines. Some attest to the woman being suicidal or likely to run off with another, anything to take the focus off the relationship that the abuse is occurring in. And, of course, the true abuser and murderer.

I hope as these cases get discussed and national media spotlights them that more women will take control of their lives and get away from these men. These men are not going to change no matter what woman enters their life. For every woman in an abusive relationship there is extreme danger whether to life and limb or to be scarred with lost of self esteem for many years to come.

Family frustrated with lack of progress in search for missing woman

“Where are the police on this one? What are they doing?” said Suzan Robison, one of Peterson’s aunts.

A spokesman for the Illinois State Police said there’s a reason police weren’t out searching during the weekend.

“We were actually in the process of organizing searches for [Monday],” said Trooper Mark Dorencz, a State Police spokesman. “I can assure you we are working on this case day and night.”

Frankly, they can work on the organization of larger searches WHILE still searching. I don't blame them for being frustrated! I didn't know that LE sat on their duffs all weekend!!

Now that they have Equusearch there...they can hand over some of the searches to them so they can get back out in the field and work the case!!!
